Not so happy with my purchase

It’s disconnecting over night and we need to turn it on with the control or on the power bar. It’s getting frustrating and I don’t thing that’s normal. It shouldn’t be doing that.

DISAPPOINTED. The subwoofer is weak!

BUT....but, this HW-B650/ZA volume, specially bass, sounds like 70% of the 4 years old soundbar. The subwoofer has only 45W. Comparing to the old one 55W you should see. Definitely disappointed ... and if you really want to try, at any BrandsSmart they are selling it for $199... no membership required. DISAPPOINTED!!!!

You can optimize your audio performance to your liking by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing SURROUND SOUND, BASS BOOST, GAME, ADAPTIVE, DTS VIRTUAL:X, STANDARD.
By pressing the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. Press the button to select TREBLE or BASS and then adjust the volume between -6~+6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.
Additionally, using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the subwoofer’s volume between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

Setup a little tricky, but sound is good

The service is the worse!!

I got a Open Box in "EXCELLENT" condition. According to Best Buy, this means that it just like new and comes like new and everything is new, just that the box was opened. I received this in WAY LESS THAN POOR CONDITION. there was a rip in the corner of the subwoofer, scratches all over the entire thing and IT DID NOT HAVE A BOX AT ALL!

Do not buy - JUNK

This sansung sound bar is not loud or strong engough. Only when music is playing through it at volumn 100. I am using the optical cable and set up everything correctly. It is just garbage for the price. The tv speakers are louder than the bar. Avoid.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with the performance of your HW-B650 Soundbar.
I am sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with the overall volume of the soundbar. If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM audio on your TV. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality.
If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 3.1.2 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
On a Samsung TV this can be found at Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings. (It can also be found in the Quick Settings.)

I love the sleek design, it's not bulky or distracting. I really like that the subwoofer is wireless, you can place it anywhere in the room. The sound quality is amazing! Good sound & bass, but has bugs (Common on Reddit)

This system KICKS and has great bass on all levels to provide a good punch for music and movies. Of course, it's no $1500 Sonos system but it holds its on, and if you live in a Shared wall condo like I do this is perfect (and I love bass) The good: -The sound is clear, especially with the center channel you get all dialogue and background sound. -Bass Hits (lows, mids, highs) and I have the sub set on 4/6 -Super easy to set up and get going -Bluetooth range is good and still has good quality as wired The Bad: - Buggy, the sound cuts on the subwoofer every couple of hours for a few seconds (common issue per Reddit) - The channel randomly changes from TV Arc to HDMI with no sound and I have to cycle around again -The subwoofer has a loud humming/negative feedback noise if you stop playing music or movies (especially on Bluetooth) (common issue per Reddit) -The remote feels super flimsy, especially the volume up button feels like it's going to fly off (common issue per Reddit) Overall its great, but these bugs are making me want to take it back. If I paid the full MSRP it would have went right back but the sale price has me debating.

Thank you for leaving detailed review with your experiences on the HW-B650 Soundbar.
I am sorry to see that you are not 100% satisfied and have had some difficulties with your soundbar.
First, try doing a hard reset on your soundbar. It will reset all of your audio settings so please be aware of that.
With your soundbar ON, press and hold the - & +, volume UP/DOWN buttons on the unit itself for roughly 5 seconds. You will see "INIT OK" scroll across the LED display when it has completely reset.
If this doesn't fix your issues then go to Samsung's website. Hover your mouse over SUPPORT, then click on MANUALS & SOFTWARE. From here, type in the full model name of your soundbar and search. You will find the instructions on how to do a firmware update and the software needed to complete this.
If you are wanting to use your TV remote instead of the provided soundbar remote, follow these instructions.
If your soundbar is connected to your TV with either an optical cable or HDMI via ARC, you can control the volume and mute the soundbar using your Samsung TV's remote. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.
1) Use the TV remote to navigate to Settings, select Sound, and then select Sound Output on your Samsung TV.
2) Select your Samsung soundbar, and then select Close. Now you can use your TV remote to adjust volume and mute the soundbar. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.
Other manufacturer’s remotes may have to be enabled on your soundbar. First, turn Off the Soundbar. Once powered off, push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “OFF-TV REMOTE” (Default mode), “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE”, “ALL-TV REMOTE”. Please also make sure your speaker settings on the TV are set to External Speaker.

Sound for TV
