    Disappointed with Price Match Promise,Broken Trust

    I bought the Samsung - HW-B750D 5.1 from Best Buy and a few days later, I found out they lower price and contacted Best Buy expecting them to honor their promise of price match guarantee. After submitting all required info and following up multiple times, they never refunded the difference—despite confirming the price match eligibility. They told me the person that helped me did it wrong and since it was past the time of return they cannot return the money they promised. Funny think they figured it out after the return time before that all they would say was it is processing it takes some time. This experience has been extremely frustrating. I feel misled, and it's disappointing that a company as large as Best Buy won’t stand behind its own policy. I won’t be making any major purchases from them again unless they make this right.

    Only thing good was the bass

    I got this for my office computer to play some music. Sound quality is not good enough. The bass is great but the highs are weak and the mids are nonexistent. Maybe its ok for tv? I didnt watch any movies or videos with it. I know better than to think a soundbar will have decent sound, they just dont because of size. Maybe other reviewers arent use to real speakers, I have real speakers for home theater (elac) and for music (JBL 15's), so I am use to real sound and returned this promptly.

      You can optimize your audio performance to your liking by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your soundbar remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing SURROUND SOUND, BASS BOOST, GAME, ADAPTIVE, DTS VIRTUAL:X, STANDARD.

      By pressing the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. Press the button to select TREBLE or BASS and then adjust the volume between -6~+6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

      Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.

      Additionally, using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the subwoofer’s volume between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

    Do not buy from best buy open box

    I recently bought a "fair" open box from the local best buy in costa mesa and when picking it up from the store it was missing the subwoofer. They said thats all they had and if i wanted to take like that or a refund. I asked for a refund a got a sorry at the end of my transaction. A total waste of time, gas money.

    I have a sound bar connected to my Samsung TV and I’m not getting the quality sounds that I believe I should be getting. I had the volume raised up quite a bit when I’m watching football games and I’m not getting the same experience at the store

      You can optimize the audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND

      You can adjust the Treble and Bass by pressing the TONE CONTROL button then use the UP/DOWN buttons to change the levels between -6 to +6.

      By pressing the CH LEVEL button, you can adjust the volume of the available channels. Each time you press the CH LEVEL button it will switch to a different channel such as Center, Front Top, or Rear Level. After selecting the channel you wish to adjust, use the UP/DOWN buttons on the provided Soundbar remote to adjust the volume between -6 to +6.

      If you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by rocking the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

    Died after 16 mos. 4 months past warrantee.

    Worked just fine for 16 months and then just died. Could not power it back on. Samsung support was not good. Only option seemed to be to repair it for 90% of the original cost. Not good quality.

      Please verify that you are running the latest firmware on your TV. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

      First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.

      If this still does not fix your issue, then please do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.

      While the Soundbar is On, press both the Vol+ and Vol- buttons on the unit simultaneously until the display shows "INIT", then release. If this doesn’t work, then try using the remote control: While the Soundbar is ON, press and hold the SOUND CONTROL ("Gear") button on the Soundbar remote for 10 seconds. You will see "150HZ" on the display. Keep pressing until you see "INIT" on the display, then release.

    Constantly Disconnecting

    The sound bar was constantly disconnecting from the tv. Beyond annoying to have to turn it back on over and over again while watching a show or movie. Tried resetting it more than once but it didn’t make a difference.

      If available, we recommend using the HDMI connection to your TV.

      Connecting your soundbar to a TV through HDMI will provide the best audio and user experience, often eliminating any connection or delay issues you may be experiencing. There are 2 ways to connect your soundbar with HDMI: you can connect a device to your soundbar (like a Blu-ray player) and then connect the soundbar to the TV, or you can use HDMI ARC. The first method will give you the best possible sound from external devices you regularly use. ARC is the way to go if you want great sound from streaming apps on your TV and a soundbar.

      If connected via Bluetooth to the TV and the soundbar is dropping out intermittently there are a few things to check before performing any troubleshooting:
      1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
      2) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
      4) Check all the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast.
      5) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware by using a USB device. You can find the update on the product page of your HW-B750D Soundbar on the Samsung website.

    Disappointing Customer Service- Lack of service

    Terrible packaging allowed this to be damaged prior to arrival 7 days after ordering and 4days late. Then the replacement I waited another 8 days for didnt even leave Best Buy when they supposedly noticed damage and cancelled my order due to their system not allowing to replace prior to shipping. Now I wait 7 to 10 days for inspection and refund and then they will mail a replacement gift card. Save yourself the trouble and order direct from SAMSUNG I wish I would I had not ordered the TV and soundbar from here. My lesson has been learned - no phones, no appliances and no anything will be purchased from here again.

    Not a good system.

    This system has been nothing but a problem. Continually loses connection, sound fluctuates in and out. Base comes on and off. I have done every trouble shooting thing to do and it won't work.

      Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When an update is available, you can update the Soundbar by connecting the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the SERVICE port of the Soundbar.

      1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper right corner.
      2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model
      2. Download the firmware file (USB type).
      3. Unzip the file to create a folder with the file name.
      4. Store the created folder in a USB and then connect it to the Soundbar.
      5. A sequence of “UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON” will appear on the display 3 times. This will take around 6 minutes.
      - During update, do not turn it off or remove the USB.
      - If “UPDATE” does not appear on the display window, remove the power cord from the Soundbar and then reconnect it.
      - When the latest Version is installed, no update is performed.
      - Depending on the USB type, update may not be supported.
      6. After the 3 cycles are complete, the Soundbar will restart and last source used will appear on the display for about 20 seconds and then it will go off (“UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON”) 3 times “D.IN” > off

    Sound is good but when it is on it is really hard to change volumes down. When this speaker is on tv sound need to be off looks like it delay sound.

      If the video on the TV and audio from the soundbar are not synchronized, press the SOUND CONTROL button on the soundbar remote, until you see AUDIO SYNC on the display. You can then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons.

      Additionally, please make sure your soundbar is using the latest firmware Version. You can update the firmware Version of your soundbar by using a USB device. If available, you may also want to update the firmware Version of your TV which may feature audio delay improvements.

      If you continue to experience audio delay, and are connected wirelessly, please use the included digital optical audio cable, or an HDMI cable purchased separately, to connect the soundbar to the TV. Using a wired connection instead of wireless often eliminates the audio delay entirely and improves the user experience.

      There are several ways you can connect the soundbar to your TV, so you can customize your movie watching experience. Although they all have their benefits, certain setups provide better sound quality than others.

      Connecting your soundbar to a TV through HDMI will give you the best audio because HDMI cables transmit sound digitally. There are 2 ways to connect your soundbar with HDMI: you can connect a device to your soundbar (like a Blu-ray player) and then connect the soundbar to the TV, or you can use HDMI ARC. The first method will give you the best possible sound from external devices you regularly use. ARC is the way to go if you want great sound from streaming apps on your TV and a soundbar.

      3. Connect a second HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on your external device. Connect the other end the HDMI IN port on your soundbar.
      4. Turn on the external device and the soundbar. Press the Source button on the soundbar until "HDMI" appears on the display.
      5. Turn the TV on and change its source to the HDMI port where the soundbar is connected.
      6. Your TV will display images from the external device, and audio will play from the soundbar.

    Doesn't connect to the sony tv we have worth af. Constantly disconnects from tv and best buy wont let us swap it even though their salesperson told us it was a good choice to go with our TV

      I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the sound occasionally dropping from your soundbar. You may first want to check the cable connection of the soundbar to the TV or external device to ensure it is secure, and properly connected to the correct port.

      In addition to checking the connections of the soundbar, please make sure your soundbar is using the latest firmware version. Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. You can update your firmware by using a USB device.

      You may also want to initialize your soundbar by pressing the - and + (volume) buttons on the top of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset. Please know, this will reset all settings on the soundbar back to default; any sound adjustments will need to be performed again.

      Should you continue to experience audio dropouts, and are connected wirelessly, please use the included cable to connect the soundbar to the TV. Using a wired connection instead of wireless often eliminates the issue entirely and improves the user experience.

    Great But Broke Under 1 Year

    Loved this soundbar, very inexpensive and good quality for the price. Soundbar sounded like a robot recently- I tried both a soft and hard reset after contacting Samsung, unfortunately did not fix the issue. Had the most rude customer service person I’ve ever spoke to. Was told for a lack of better terms I’m SOL. Never again

    Best Buy failed to show up with all of my merchandise after scheduling the delivery seven (7) times and cancelled all of them at the last minute except for the last time. They just showed up without the merchandise on 1/9/2025. We also believe they made misrepresentations to us.

    Not very loud and cracking sounds when you get the volume to hi. I would have returned it but I was out of town during the 14 day timeframe.

      Samsung is committed to providing the best possible product experience, quality, and value. We back this Samsung Soundbar with a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty, including authorized repair for manufacturer defect, if purchased brand-new directly from an authorized seller.

      Here are some troubleshooting tips and adjustments to try.

      Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When an update is available, you can update the Soundbar by connecting the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the SERVICE port of the Soundbar.

      1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper right corner.
      2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model
      2. Download the firmware file (USB type).
      3. Unzip the file to create a folder with the file name.
      4. Store the created folder in a USB and then connect it to the Soundbar.
      5. A sequence of “UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON” will appear on the display 3 times. This will take around 6 minutes.
      - During update, do not turn it off or remove the USB.
      - If “UPDATE” does not appear on the display window, remove the power cord from the Soundbar and then reconnect it.
      - When the latest Version is installed, no update is performed.
      - Depending on the USB type, update may not be supported.
      6. After the 3 cycles are complete, the Soundbar will restart and last source used will appear on the display for about 20 seconds and then it will go off (“UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON”) 3 times “D.IN” > off

      By pressing the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the volume of the treble or bass sound. Press the button to select TREBLE or BASS and then adjust the volume between -6~+6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

      Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.

      Additionally, using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the subwoofer’s volume between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

    Great but it broke in less than 6 months.

    I loved this sound bar until it just broke. Had it maybe 6 months and out of nowhere it got a very annoying buzzing sound I can't get rid of. I have to listen to the TV speakers now. I will see how Samsung responds.

      First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

      If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.
