Especially for a small sound bar. The problem came after installing the system. When I connected my system I couldn't tell it the system was ON or OFF no light to indicate whether its on or off. Sometime when I turn on my Tv the sound doesn't turn on. Unlike my old sound bar. when that happens I have to unplug the sound bar and plug it back it back in just to get it to work. control gives you options to change the setting but it will not show up on the tv. you have to click around until you find the sounds you like . possible theory it won't work well if other brand of tvs unless it a Samsung

We appreciate you taking a moment to review Samsung's HW-C450 Soundbar.
If your soundbar and Samsung TV are connected by an optical cable, Auto Power Link will turn your soundbar on automatically when you turn on the TV. If you have the soundbar connected with an HDMI cable to the Samsung TV, Anynet+ will turn the soundbar on automatically. No need to reach for the soundbar remote every time you want to watch TV!
To use Auto Power Link, follow the steps below:
1) Connect your soundbar to your TV with an optical cable.
2) Set the soundbar to D.IN mode by pressing Source on the remote or soundbar.
3) Press and hold the left direction on the direction pad on the remote for more than 5 seconds or until Auto Power Link appears on the soundbar display to activate or deactivate Auto Power Link.

My husband is left ear is hard of hearing unfortunately. I got these speakers so he can listen better. We do y need to put them so high anymore

I have read about the benefits of ARC Hdmi but it’s negligible from what i hear…

With speakers on bottom of tv, the sound just isn’t the greatest. This is a great cost effective option toe better sound. Subwoofer is great for the price point.

The difference between it and the TV sound is noticeably better. I would like more information on how to install/connect the bluetooth. It was easy enough to get it online as it did not come with the product. The subwoofer is just ok.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with the HW-C450 Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you were unable to completely setup your Soundbar.
You can download the full user manual directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-C450 under Standard.
The manual will also detail how to manually adjust the Soundbar to increase the audio performance of the Soundbar.
