Thank you for taking a moment to review the HW-C450 Soundbar.
When using other manufacturers’ remotes they may have to be enabled on your soundbar. First, turn Off the Soundbar. Once powered off, push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “OFF-TV REMOTE” (Default mode), “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE”, “ALL-TV REMOTE”. Please also make sure your speaker settings on the TV are set to External Speaker.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with the performance of your HW-C450 Soundbar.
Here are some tips to manually optimize your Soundbar by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing SURROUND SOUND – GAME – ADAPTIVE – DTS VIRTUAL:X – BASS BOOST – STANDARD.
If you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by rocking the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
You can adjust the Treble and Bass by pressing the TONE CONTROL button then use the UP/DOWN buttons to change the levels between -6 to +6.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics by pressing and holding the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds, make sure you also set the SOUND MODE to STANDARD.

Base connected automatically and only had to adjust with the remote through speaker bar much much much better sound and only turn up to 15 on sound bar instead of nearly 50 on a 60 “ Samsung TV way better and great price

They have an about 700 sq ft living room and the sound carries well though-out the space. Subwoofer has a nice bass that you can feel. We got this on sale and we can't beat the quality for the price. It was pretty self explanatory to setup and connectivity was super fast and simple. Everything was all hooked up and ready to go within like 15-20mins.

I purchased the new one from Best Buy which was a step down level from my original. It has better sound than the more expensive version that I bought first from Samsung. Ordering on line from Best Buy was quick and easy. The Best Buy service was excellent and when I picked up the new one it was a smooth and fast transaction.

Came across this been in the search for a new sound bar, read some reviews and bought it. It does not disappoint I love having the music on and all the different settings.
