    These are best for a large room. Way too loud for a small room even at low volume.

    Pretty quiet and no bass. Turned it all the way up to 100 and it still wasn't very loud. Tried different sound modes, different inputs (hdmi, optical, bluetooth) and nothing seemed to help. Not sure if I got a dud or what, but I returned it and got something better.

    Couldn't get it to connect to the subwoofer. Tried several different solutions from support message boards. Even updated the firmware via USB. Nothing worked, had to return. The main reason I got it was for that "Q-Symphony" feature and that seemed pretty glitchy too. While I was trying to figure out the subwoofer issue it would activate and deactivate Q-symphony seemingly randomly and I couldn't figure out why. Admittedly I didn't spend too much time looking into that since my focus was on the Subwoofer connection issue. The whole experience soured me on Samsung's software because I also had issues with their 'smart things' app with the new TV. Literally spent a couple hours on Christmas day reading through message boards trying to solve Samsung software issues for the TV and Soundbar. I kept the TV (The Frame is awesome and makes up for bad software) but swapped the sound bar for a different brand. Don't care about the Q-Symphony if it means I have one more problem to deal with. Seems really well-built though.

    Not Better than the TV's sound

    Not enough sound in the room. It did not enhance the sound. It only directed it lower.

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the HW-Q600B Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not fully satisfied with your purchase.

      You can manually optimize your audio experience by pressing the SOUND MODE button to select the desired pre-equalized sound setting. The choices are SURROUND SOUND – GAME – ADAPTIVE SOUND – DTS VIRTUAL:X – STANDARD.

      To control the volume of the treble or bass sound, press the TONE CONTROL button and then adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

      Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.)

      Press the CH LEVEL button so you can adjust the volume of specific channels. CENTER LEVEL or TOP LEVEL can be adjusted using the UP/DOWN buttons from -6 to +6.

    Continually disconnects from the tv and right about 2 yrs of having it, the thing started having static. We tried to get it fixed but they couldn’t. This one is junk

    Picked this up while it was on sale for $249 when I bought a new 4K TV. Out of the box it worked alright, though the instructions for connecting it to the subwoofer were kind of lacking. Then 3 days into owning it the sound stopped working. Let me tell you this, Samsung support is terrible. They have almost no information on troubleshooting and the information they do have is incorrect. But let's get to the journey here: Powered off all devices. Powered back on, audio worked again but only for about a minute then it stopped again. Repeated power cycle, worked again but only for 10 seconds. And now no matter what there is no sound. I've replaced HDMI cables, reset/initialized the soundbar, unplugged everything, plugged everything back in, tried over Bluetooth and still nothing! So I try updating the firmware... It won't recognize my USB stick. So I try an older one that's USB 2.0 instead of 3.0. No dice. Formatted both sticks and tried again, still nothing. Their support site says to use the SmartThings app if USB doesn't work, and the app doesn't recognize the soundbar either, nor does it appear on the list of supported devices. Great. So all in all, do not recommend. If you look online you'll see that a bunch of folks have this same issue with this specific model.
