    This played wonderful as the display at the store. At home, you can barely tell there is surround sound on. Geek squad has returned to my house trying to adjust it. It is what it is, unfortunately. Skip this one for check out.

      Thank you for sharing your experiences with the HW-Q600B Soundbar in your home! I am sorry that your out-of-box experience was less than ideal.

      By pressing the SOUND MODE button on the remote, you can select the desired sound setting.

      SURROUND SOUND: Provides a wider sound field than standard.

      GAME PRO: Provides stereoscopic sound to immerse you in the action while gaming.

      ADAPTIVE SOUND: Analyzes the content in real time and automatically provides an optimal sound field based on the characteristics of the content.

      STANDARD: Outputs the original sound.

      You can manually optimize your audio experience by pressing the TONE CONTROL button. Using the Up/Down buttons allows you to control the volume of the treble or bass between -6 to +6.

      Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”.)

      Press the CH LEVEL button so you can adjust the volume of each speaker. CENTER LEVEL or TOP LEVEL can be adjusted using the UP/DOWN buttons from -6 to +6.

    I bought this on sale for $329.99. I went home to set it up and it was very simple. I apparently bought a defective soundbar. I would have to turn up the volume to 100 to hear anything. I wouldnt recommend this one to anyone.

    Well I do wish it had a better display to adjust the setting and it also stopped working after a year of use. I do not recommend this unit at all.

    the soundbar doesn't work well with it's own samsung tv. it does not turn on with the tv and has to be reset each time using it. I would not buy this soundbar

    I originally purchased the Samsung soundbar model HW-600B/ZA and it stopped working after a few hours. Many other reviewers experienced the same issue. I spent way too much time with Samsung support on trying to fix it which they couldn't. Instead of sending it out for repair and waiting weeks for it to return, I just went back to BestBuy and exchanged it for a higher quality Samsung soundbar model HW-Q800B/ZA. While this Q800B/ZA soundbar is more money, it is much higher quality and save yourself the frustration dealing with the lower model soundbar.

    It sounded great until it stopped working after 2 weeks. Called Samsung, agent ran through some troubleshooting steps, the unit still doesn't work. Apparently Samsung manufacture warranty for exchange or refund is 15 days. I wouldn't recommend this soundbar to anyone. unless you would like a huge paper weight after 2 weeks.

    Loses connection often

    Do not buy this soundbar! This is the second one I’ve had to return because it randomly stops working. I’ve tried different hdmi cables, checked for firmware updates, even tried downgrading to an optical cable. Still had the same outcome. This is clearly a bad batch from Samsung.

    Horrible investment

    I went through 2 of these and moved onto another brand. The first didn’t work out of the box, the 2nd failed after 2 weeks. When the 2nd one failed, I noticed an electrical burning odor and that the underside was INCREDIBLY hot. I think this line is plagued by bad circuitry because this bar has been used infrequently and at low volume. When it worked, it sounded great. But the performance is disgustingly unreliable.
