    I am unable to review this item because I still cannot get it to work. The first sound bar had to be replaced as it started making a horrible loud noise. When the second sound bar was delivered it was very quick and no one showed me how to use it. I assumed that when I turned on the tv-also new Samsung-with my direct TV remote the sound bar would turn on. It doesn't. When I try to turn it on with the sounder remote nothing happens. I am beyond disappointed.

      Thank you for sharing your review regarding the HW-Q600B Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you have experienced these issues with your new unit.

      To control the soundbar with your TV or DirecTV remote, you will need to follow the below steps.

      This function can be used with IR remote controls only. Bluetooth remote controls (remote
      controls that require pairing) are not supported.
      Set the TV speaker to External Speaker to use this function.

      1. Turn Off the Soundbar.
      2. Push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds.
      Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the
      following order: “OFF-TV REMOTE” (Default mode), “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE”, “ALL-TV REMOTE”.

      Make sure that you set it to ALL-TV REMOTE, and your DirecTV remote will then control the soundbar. Also, have the Soundbar connected to the TV using an HDMI cable that is plugged into your TV ARC port, generally HDMI 3 Input. This will allow the remote to control the soundbar much easier.

    Sounded great when hooked up to our cable, but no amount of troubleshooting managed to get it hooked up to any other device. Only static/feedback when hooked up to a streaming service. Returned to the store.

    The sound is great - when it works. It randomly goes silent in the middle of shows/movies, and frequently "cannot be found" by the TV. I'm sure it would deserve 5 stars if it worked consistently.

    Item works ok but was supposed to have been mounted to the tv, instead it was mounted to the wall. Service already took WAY TO LONG to have to reschedule it. Not a happy camper!!

    Sound bar was a disappointment. It stopped working in less than 30 days. Best Buy would not let me exchange it. Now I have to wait 6weeks to get it back.

    power cable related issue urged me to return. it was not holding the line, a bit loosy and disconnecting again and again. Such big product this poor cable doesn't fit.

    So I bought this sound bar and sub and pretty much didnt read no reviews and its junk. I want to warn everyone do not waste your time. I opened and set up this system and the first day it worked fine and the second day completely shut down on me and no sound would come out. Returned it got another one and pretty much as soon as I connected the second it made the screeching noise others have made. I am getting a different model and reading reviews. Also if you’re wondering yes I am using it on a samsung tv.

    Do not waste your time with any Samsung soundbar. I returned this junk 3 times for the same reason. Take a guess. You guessed it no sound. Called Samsung the rep told me Samsung soundbars only work on Samsung TVs. Are you kidding me? Did he really think I was buying that lie? I went with Sony Soundbar works flawlessly.

    Not even 2mos it just stop working. I wanted to return to best buy but the warranty is close, so i have to file claim to samsung. Which it takes forever for the replacement. Very disappointing. I shouldve check the review before purchasing it.

    Waste of time and money

    First week and it already stopped working. I’ll never buy a Samsung soundbar again. It started out being blotchy the first day, too. Sound quality was underwhelming even when it worked. Just stick to their TV’s. That’s the one thing they do really well. Anyone else could do a better job with the soundbar.

    Stopped working after a few days

    Bought the soundbar. Used it a couple times then it stopped working. It would turn on but No sound was coming through. Tried resetting it, un-plugging, connecting different bluetooth devices, TVs and nothing. This sound bar has many bad reviews on other sites. DO NOT BUY
