      Provides a wider sound field than standard.
      GAME
      Provides stereoscopic sound to immerse you in the action while gaming.
      ADAPTIVE SOUND
      Analyzes the content in real time and automatically provides an optimal sound field based on the characteristics of the content.
      DTS VIRTUAL:X
      Immersive 3D sound from any content.
      STANDARD
      Outputs the original sound.

      While in STANDARD mode you have the ability to adjust the 7-band equalizer to fine-tune the audio quality to your own liking. Press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons.

      You can manually optimize your audio experience by pressing the SOUND MODE button to select the desired pre-equalized sound setting. The choices are SURROUND SOUND – GAME – ADAPTIVE SOUND – DTS VIRTUAL:X – STANDARD.

      If you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by rocking the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

      You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the TONE CONTROL button.

      There are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot your soundbar. First, try a new HDMI cable as this can be the cause of any issues as they do go bad over time or it could have internal damage you may not see.

      Then update your firmware on your soundbar. You can download the firmware directly from Samsung’s website by clicking “Support” in the top right corner. Then go to “Manuals & Software” > “TVs & Home Theater” > “Home Theater” > “Sound Bars”. From there, you can select the HW-Q60B under Q Series.

      Download the update and install via USB thumb stick to your soundbar. If you need additional help, there are how to instructions on this page. Please know that Samsung Customer Service is here to assist as well.

      Next, if you are still having issues with your HDMI input, try a hard reset on your soundbar. With the Soundbar powered ON. Press the + & - (Volume UP/DOWN)buttons on the body at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset.

      Lastly, should your soundbar is still having issues, please contact Samsung Customer Service.

    2nd review of this product...1st review was about the product not being compatible with SmartThings (even though it is specified as such on the Best Buy specifications). After writing the 1st review, this product has since stopped working altogether (after 2 hours of use). Power is on & it is saying it is connected to devices via Bluetooth, however it randomly stopped playing any sound through the sub or speakers. Disappointed is an understatement.

    Read the reviews!! I promise you this is a waste of money. If you’re still scrolling and contemplating stop here! I did the same two weeks ago and bought this. BT doesn’t work. I have an older samsung sound bar connects fine, I try this one and nothing plays. I’ve tried HDMI and nothing plays. Garbage.

    First off, this isn’t a crazy premium sound bar, but we’re not breaking the bank here. It will blow any integrated TV speaker out of the water, obviously. That said, setup was super quick and as basic as any sound bar. I’m not using this with a Samsung TV; it is replacing a Polk MagniFi mini that has been refusing to stay connected to the subwoofer lately. The sound bar fits below my Panasonic plasma in my spare room. It’s sleek with a wireless subwoofer that gets deep enough to enjoy movies, sports, and music channels. The sound bar is a little under four feet long. In terms of connectivity, it has Bluetooth, which I won’t use but some might find helpful. Music channels do sound good. It has HDMI eARC but also input and output for those who don’t have an extra port to spare. There’s also optical input for older TVs or whatever, and a USB port, although I didn’t use it. As I mentioned, the sound quality is very good, but I'm no audiophile. The sound of everything seems to be on par or better than the Polk it replaced; dialogue sounds clear and the wireless subwoofer adds the depth that every integrated TV speaker lacks. One of the most impressive features of this sound bar was how it made everything feel 3D. My old Polk sound bar sounded like everything was coming straight from it, with no surround effects. The Samsung sounds like everything is kind of coming from where it’s supposed to, if that makes sense. Dialogue comes from the characters, explosions are everywhere, and surround effects come from random places inside the room. It’ll whatever trickery is taking place, it sounds very nice. I’d recommend this to anyone not looking to blow their wallet open. It doesn’t match my Sonos but for watching TV, especially in a secondary room, this does the trick nicely.

    Easy set-up sound bar with powerful sub-woofer

    Right out of the box, the Samsung - HW-Q60B 3.1ch Soundbar seemed like a clear winner: solid-feeling construction, low-profile for placement directly below a larger TV or unobtrusively on a shelf, and my personal favorite- all-metal exterior components. All previous soundbars I've used had a fabric/soft material covering the speakers. As a pet owner, the omnipresent fur would often get caught/tied/intertwined in this material (how this happens is some sort of science mystery- similar to how nicely wound extension cords and headphones end up in knots no matter what you do!). Anyway, the all-metal exterior is super-easy to clean and has the much-appreciated bonus of just feeling as fragile as the other soundbars I've used. Set up was incredibly easy! Granted, I was replacing an existing soundbar, so it was easy as disconnect old, plug in and connect new- sound! That said, the directions were clear on how to change the TV audio settings and the pairing of the sub-woofer took less than 60 seconds following the very clear directions. The sub-woofer- WOW! I've not had a separate sub-woofer before- just the built-in, must be pretty small ones that mot modern soundbars claim to have in some fashion. The sub-woofer on the Samsung - HW-Q60B 3.1ch Soundbar will create vibrations I can feel across the room on its base setting! If I turn it to any of the "+" (above base level) settings, it creates enough bass that I fear my neighbors may complain. I've not tested what happens if I connect to the soundbar with music via bluetooth, but I'm pretty certain I could get some house party-worthy thumping to occur! Overall, very pleased with the Samsung - HW-Q60B 3.1ch Soundbar !

    Best Buy was great but the subwoofer does not connect or work. Trying to work with Samsung getting a new one. Usually Samsung is great product hope this is a one time thing.

    Great Product - Bad HDMI Cable included with mine

    Purchased this item to go with new Samsung 65" Q80 TV. Set-up should have been simple and would have been had there not been a short in the HDMI cable that came with the soundbar. After much time and frustration I finally figured out the problem and, of course, had to use my own HDMI cable even though i paid for the one that came with it. All that said, the unit performs exceptionally well and I am quite happy with the sound it produces and ease of use. Very nice for the Holiday price that i paid. I really do enjoy it and think its quite a nice product. Unfortunate that quality control seems to be slipping these days (not just picking on Samsung)... Overall great product.

    Quit producing sound after light usage of less than 1 week…smart screen still worked but no sound at all at one point…troubleshooting didn’t help…trying digital input and HDMI didn’t work either… previous version Samsung sounbar still works after 10 years strong (same model family)…returned.

    I have had some time with this sound bar and it’s been pretty great. It looks great nice and sleek. It is a little thick so if you have a low stand on your TV you may be blocking you TV abit. I currently have a full surround sound with a receiver, towers, and everything in my living room. I got this for my bedroom but for fun I brought it in to my living room to do “unfair” comparison. Funny story, before I was able to test it I set it on my tv stand. While I was gone one day my housemate came and saw it and connected it. Without me knowing it was the sound bar I heard it and didn’t realize for a good 5 minutes that it was the sound bar. It was then that I realized that man this thing can really hold its own. It’s a nice unit. It has good bass and great sound imaging. It really can fill the room. I can only image how it will be with the wireless rear speakers. The voices are super clear and this thing can throw sounds around you you think you already have read speakers. This bad boy is a great addition to your system. If you have just a TV or need an upgrade this is the one for you. Only “issues” I had was with trying to get Atmos to work with my PS5 but I realized that my TV was forcing E-ARC and my TV doesn’t support Atmos. So keep that in mind when hooking it up. To turn off E-ARC. Once you have it correct you can see that beautiful scrolling DOLBY ATMOS across the display. This is an absolute unit and definitely lives up to its hype.
