Very Impressed With This Sound Bar

Very impressed with the sound quality of this sound bar, and it mates with my new 18 K 65-inch Samsung TV very nicely. It was also on sale with a price that included a gift card that I subsequently used to purchase the compatible two rear speaker pair that was also on sale at the time. The ARC HDMI connection allows me to use only the TV remote to turn the sound bar on or off at the same time as the TV. Using the Samsung SmartThings app on my phone makes it easy to optimize the sound in the room for excellent channel separation, treble, and bass, as well as connect my phone to the sound bar for playing music. I don’t believe I’ve ever owned a better TV sound system.

Purchased this product to accompany new Samsung TV. Set up was easy, sound is great. Tricky thing with this product and the Samsung TV is synching the words to the person talking. There is a synching function but seems like it should be easier with the eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel). Look for sale pricing on this product. Best Buy price matched me and we saved another $300 (helps with value assessment)

    Quality, Mid-Range Sound Bar Package

This combo packs a huge punch. The sound bar is absolutely huge with 3 front-facing, 2 angled, 2 side-firing, and 2 up-firing speakers. Plus, the sub is powerful. I had to dial it down a bit for our room. I like the adaptive sound and the auto-tuning EQ feature. The screen showing the modes could be bigger and face the audience instead of being at the top. Also, wish it had the ability to make pass through HDMI 2.1 from such a source. Finally, I like the flexibility of being able to add the rear speaker kit, if I decide I want it. Instructions aren’t super helpful and as detailed as they could be. I did a lot of online searching to understand some of the features and how to best use them. The Samsung SmartThings app actually provides a set of options that otherwise aren’t published, such as voice boost, night mode, and/or bass boost.

This soundbar is absolutely AMAZING! This is the best soundbar I have ever owned, although also the highest priced as well. I got it on a fantastic deal when it was open box, where is was pretty much half off! The remote for this is alright, but I connected the bar to my LG OLED through EARC, so I just use my TV remote. You can also use the SMART THINGS app to see and change all the settings and equalizers. The biggest cons? Well price has to be talked about, I wish the remote was a bit better even if I don't use it. My biggest dislike about this product is that the display is on top of the soundbar, which makes it impossible to see when mounted flat or even just sitting on a stand.

Legitimately the best sound bar we’ve ever owned! We asked the sales guy to give us a demonstration on their best sound bar and this was the one he demo’d. We were instantly sold! The bass is full-bodied and out of this world good. It’s made a great addition to our media room. It really gives movie theater vibes. I love that Alexa is built into the speaker as well. I can control the tv, lights, blinds, etc for our media room which is super convenient. It’s great for playing music as well! Would absolutely recommend.

Awesome sound bar! I'm heavily into Samsung's eco system. I've paired this sound bar with a 75" Samsung Neo QLED TV. The sound bar doesn't disappoint. Others have said it lacks bass. That is correct at low volumes. You'll have to crank it up to really experience the bass it can produce. Using the smart things app, you can use the auto EQ (as well as other features) that make it sound great. I didn't purchase the 950a , as I didn't have the space to add the (mostly) wireless satellite speakers that really compliment this bar. I've been really happy with my purchase and my friends and relatives that come over are impressed with the sound. Enjoy it with youtube music or your favorite streaming service and crank it up!

Picked this up along with the separately sold rear speakers to replace my old Samsung K950 sound bar and wow... what a difference! It may not be a true 9.1.4 setup but for my family's needs and lack of dedicated theater room, this is a stunner. I was shocked by the sheer power... I could turn the K950 to max volume and be wanting more. I can hardly go halfway on the volume with this and it still has great clarity. The surrounds are excellent. The only minor gripe I have is that silly LCD screen perched on top of the sound bar rather than front facing. No matter - the Smart Things app is a perfectly suitable/preferable alternative!

My wife and I were trying to find a new soundbar that would support Dolby Atmos and have the ability to accept rear speakers in the future (when our destructive children were a bit older) and behold the Samsung Q900A. We've had the soundbar/sub for about 2 weeks now and love it so far. It does a great job at throwing sound and making it seem like you have a fully surround system instead of just a soundbar. One complaint is that the AutoEQ function can only be accessed by the Smart Things app and glitches every now and again so that you have to factory reset the system to get it to work. Also, who thought it was a good idea putting the soundbar display on the top and back of the soundbar where you can't see it easily!?

Sound quality is GREAT but Atmos does not work with Xbox Series X going through LG C1 via eARC. The sound bar is not able to decode bitstream Atmos when both Xbox Series X and LG C1 are set to pass through. I had to settle for uncompressed 7.1 but even that still sounds amazing. Looking online it seems this was a common issue with last years LG sound bars as well. Hopefully will be fixed with a future firmware update! Would easily be 5 stars if Atmos for Xbox worked with pass through.

I purchased the sound bar and sub woofer and I was very disappointed. The bass was very weak and it only went up to about 85 to 88 dB maxium volume level. I was thinking the unit was faulty so I took it back. I listen to it in the store and it can pick up lower pitch face but you have to really turn it up loud. It was louder in the store and i may have had a faulty unit. A week later I bought the Bose 900 sound bar with the Bose 700 subwoofer, it’s like night and day when I compare them in yhe store. Bose way much better sounding than Samsung and Sonos sounded a lot better too. The Bose system has great sound and very strong bass, maximum volume about 107 dB. It goes up very loud without diatorting to top volume and very strong bass all the way down to 20 HZ. This is a 2021 newly released sound bar competing with the Sonos sound bar at the same level. The Sonos was a somewhat clearer in midrange, but a lot less bass snd it did not go up nearly as loud, 96 db maxiumum. Overall those one and I purchased a Bose 900 sound bar and Bose 700 subwoofer. The mid range sounded good on the Samsung system but poor bass snd lack of power output. Samsung makes excellent televisions and I have a Samsung 85 inch queue LED TV and extremely happy with it. I was disappointed with their sound bar, however. It didn’t sound terrible, it sounded pretty decent, but just lacks bass and volume. Out of all of them, the Bose system was the one I wound up purchasing and it is more expensive, but it’s worth it.

We really like the Harman-Kardon Dolby Atmos! The sound is amazing and of course it works great with our Samsung 85" Smart TV! Samsung Electronics acquired Harman-Kardon in 2017 for US$8 billion in cash. However, Harman-Kardon is an independent subsidiary of Samsung. Best Buy offered us a bundle price if we purchased the TV plus Sound Bar...we did. We highly recommend this sound bar!

Great audio device. Integrated easily with my Sony TV over eARC hdmi port. I did have a few issues that required manual settings on my Sony TV to get audio surround codex’s to work properly, but that’s not the sound bars fault. I do notice a 1/2 second loss of audio when resuming from pause. I love the integration with Samsung SmartThings, settings are minimal honestly but it made configuring the AutoEQ feature on the sound bar easy.

Great sound quality. It sometimes gets a tinny sound when in surround, but just switch the sound mode & you're good. I don't blast out movies too often, so I can't fully say if it's worth the cost though. & the bass can be punchy if it's up too high. Never been a fan of that crazy punching noise from a sub, so I typically keep this down a bit & it gives good quality, and strongly present, base.

I have a 55" Samsung Q80T from 2021. This soundbar was easy to set up and install, HDMI eArc works well, and music sounds amazing on this. Vocals are far clearer now, and Q Symphony works well (basically TV + Soundbar config on the TV with the mode set to Adaptive). I haven't really had any issues yet beyond Spotify not working one day. It was an easy fix though; just had to unplug the bar for 1 minute then plug it back in. For music, I recommend Standard mode and setting the Advanced EQ to your liking via the Samsung SmartThings app. The other modes don't sound quite as nice but are great for TV/movies. Some things to note: + This bar is a big boy. Like it is thick in height and depth. + The subwoofer was larger than expected. Basically just get the measurements done beforehand + The power cable plugs in about 1/3 of the overall length away from the left side. + Similarly, the other interfaces (HDMI, optical) is about 1/3 of the overall length from the right side. + This is an older model as the 990B and 930B are out now. You may not be able to find this easily. + Original price is overpriced imo. I managed to get it for $899 due to price matching with Amazon via customer support chat.

I was expecting a bit more "thump" with this speaker, but realized it needed to be turned up. Haha. this is great sound bar. One down side is, if its mounted on the TV, it becomes difficult to push the buttons on the main sound bar, so do not lose your remote. Love the idea I can add more speakers to it. It already nearly shakes my house, but I will be adding more anyways.

The sound out of this is ridiculously good. Paired with the 2.02 rear kit and wow. The menu is oddly set up. It probably makes sense to some engineer but to us humans, it's not intuitive. Once set up tho, it's fantastic. Not a fan of the display on top. For setting up you then have to be right next to view. Bought open box & very much worth what I paid.
