Easy. This sound system is literally plug and play to the point I almost couldn't believe it. The last Sound System I had running wires all over the living room, this is all wireless and just plugs into power outlets where needed. The sound is crisp and clear and after the first night of watching it I literally jumped out of my seat because the sound was so realistic I thought someone was in the room running behind me during a horror movie. My wife laughed at me but in all fairness the rear speaker was closer to me than it was to her so shame on her! I think for a one and done system with a very easy to use app by the way, this can't be beat. I'm not an audiophile and can't give you the minute details about the highs and lows but for what I needed, this goes above and beyond.

This is the best sound bar I have ever purchased, I have bought in the past a Sony one, a JVC one but by far this blows him out of the water. Easy to assemble hook up rather and it rocks my house. Thank you so much. My kids and everybody keep telling me to lower my TV now lol love it

I've purchased two systems. One for my daughter and myself. I haven't installed my system but my daughters sounds really great. Easy setup.

The system has phenomenal sound quality. The surround speakers work great, haven't had any issues with the surround speakers or subwoofer disconnecting. HDMI 2.1 passthrough is great for modern gaming. About the only downside is that the length of the power cables for the surround speakers is a little short (~6ft) so I had to buy longer replacement cables. I don't use the Q-symphony feature (I think it makes the voices too tinny). Other minor cons: I don't like the buttons being on top of the unit - too easy for cats to sit on it and turn it off or tell the Bluetooth to start searching, also the LED display is a lot smaller than it was on my HW-K850, so you have to wait for words to scroll by to see what setting you're changing.

I’ve been using the Samsung HW-Q990D for a couple of weeks now, and it has completely transformed my living room. The setup was surprisingly easy for a system of this size, and within minutes, I was getting true, room-filling Dolby Atmos sound from the soundbar, wireless subwoofer, and rear speakers. The clarity of dialogue is excellent, even at lower volumes, and the surround effects are incredibly immersive when watching movies or sports. The bass from the subwoofer is powerful without being overwhelming, and the rear speakers really complete the cinematic experience. Music also sounds fantastic — crisp highs, rich mids, and deep lows. Whether it’s Netflix, gaming, or just streaming playlists, this system handles everything beautifully. It’s definitely a premium soundbar, but the performance matches the price. I’ve never heard a sound bar system that I enjoyed and that made me very nervous to purchase this despite all the rave reviews. This went into my main family room where it’s not ideal for a real sound system but we find ourselves watching a lot of tv in that room and needed something. I caught this on sale when the new F model was launched and saved a lot of money. It’s definitely the best sound bar I’ve heard and I’m very happy with it. Perfect for our family room and surprised at how well the surround sounds in this odd shaped room adding a lot of depth to the TV. I wouldn’t pay full price for these I would go with full range floor speakers if spending that much. But on sale worth every penny.

This sound bar is sick! I have a full aureound sound system with physical wires, Klipsch Speakers, and a big old amp/receiver and I gifted this to my parents. I’m honestly jealous of it ha I went to their place a few more times than normal since I installed it. The bass slaps very hard and is very clean. Worth the $1000 I paid and can see why they charged $2000. Usually I complain a bit about how they are overpricing everything but one of the rare cases I agree. Also note I’m an audiophile and have been for 25 years. Quality, volume, sound stage, clarity, etc. it’s literally all there!! Even the wireless speakers and sub are all synced up in realtime so there is no echo or delay! HIGHLY recommend if you wanna feel like you’re at the movie theatre!

AMAZING! I'm so glad I waited for the HDMI 2.1 Passthrough that the 990-C was lacking. If you're not a gamer, you probably won't even miss it, so save yourself hundreds by going with the 990-C. If you want the best of the best, the 990-D is the way to go! I would advise installing Samsung Smart Things App on your phone to explore all the features of this system and fine tune the settings. Just put the remote in a drawer and forget about it if you already own a Samsung TV because the 990-D flawlessly pairs well with any Samsung TV!

We bought the Samsung Q990D Soundbar package to use together with our new 83-inch LG OLED TV in a new home theater set-up. We were slightly hesitant about pairing the LG with a Samsung set rather than LG or Sonos (which we considered and liked), but our worries were unfounded and we have been very happy with it. It links to the TV using eARC HDMI 2.1 cables and the Dolby Sound really enriches what is already a great surround system. The speakers get more than loud enough for any kind of material without distortion and expand the surround-space and project rear and side sound effects quite realistically. It's slightly bright, but you can adjust that somewhat in the Samsung app you can download on your phone that provides more adjustments than you can make with the remote and manual buttons on the main soundbar. The main soundbar in front sounds as good as or better than anything else we heard, with great mids and clear, distinct dialogue. But the subwoofer is the real surprise - it's got some real oomph and richness to its range and lends a true 3-dimensional quality to the sound. This system makes everything sound great, but it really shines with movies, where the Dolby Sound kicks in and really heightens the surround effects. It also makes music videos come to life. One negative is that the surround effects are highly dependent on room layout and size. Ours is rectangular at about 14 x 19 with a 9 ft ceiling, with two doors that we can close to give us the right sound reflections. Open floor plans or much higher ceilings might not be conducive to optimizing the surround and Dolby features this system uses so effectively.

Wow!! Incredibly sophisticated design as well as high-quality sound. Easy to connect with the Samsung Q Synchrony Ready TV. The system truly brings the sound to your home. I have a very peculiar living room layout with openings yet the AI sound adjusted perfectly so you hear sound and detail in every corner! Extremely happy with my purchase

Pairs great with Samsung TV’s and the Q-Symphony is great! I was a little skeptical of the sub only being 8”, but it brings it when you expect it to.

This soundbar is one of tbe best I've ever had. Everything sounds great. Syncing it to my Samsung Oled tv was easy for Q symphony. Sounds so good when watching movies. The bass is thunderous and tne dialog is so clear. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great soundbar

Picked up from store and brought it home. Set up was easy and quick. good sound quality.

This is a great soundbar. I love that it has wireless rear speakers, so I don't have to try and hide those speaker wires. It was very easy to set up. I just connected an HDMI cable from the sound bar to my TV and it was good to go. It has different levels and settings to hear music or sound. Also, now that it has been updated to 2.1 HDMI, I can get Dolby atmos sound on my PS5, which is fantastic, and it gets plenty loud.

I'm very impressed with this. I don't have any complaints regarding sound nor connection. Watching anything with this system plugged in is a game changer. Ended up rewatching some movies just because of it.

I previously bought a lower model sound bar. The difference is incredible! I would never buy a lower model sound bar ever again! This model is the BEST!!! The sound is incredible! Truly a high quality sound system! The rear speakers are wireless! Simple and easy to install! The subwoofer has amazing deep bass sound!!! It makes my bedroom sound like my living room $10k home theater sound system!

After 11 years of owning my Bose solo soundbar.. yeah 11 years, it finally went. It lasted me so long so it was finally time to get a new sound system. Ended up doing a lot of research online which probably took me at most 1 hour when I ran into this beautiful system. Sat there, got my car keys and drove out to the Best Buy that had it in stock and best decision ever made to purchase. Real easy to set up, paired up with my Samsung tv and setting up the pass through with my PS5.. and boy let me tell you… it feels like my entire living room shakes and the beautiful sound that comes out from behind with the rear speakers be it an action packed movie, or explosive gaming or even the realistic feeling of being in a horror movie with the sounds practically in your ears! The most I pushed up the volume was at 40% and sheesh it blasts. My 2 dogs sometimes looks around confused at the sound all about them. I leave my volume at about 20-25% and that’s more than enough Best purchase ever, quality is amazing. I am one happy buyer for sure!
