Sounds great. Easy set up takes a little getting used to and tuned in. I assume most people will be paired with a Samsung TV and will control it via the TV remote which pretty much makes the sound bar remote useless, which is good. It doesn’t have that many features on it when paired in Q Symphony, it sounds absolutely amazing.

Honestly blown away by this system. The Dolby Atmos actually works. It truly sounds like a theater with sound coming from everywhere, even above. The bass shakes the floor but stays clean, not muddy. Setup took 10 minutes with the SmartThings app. If you're debating it, just get it. You won't regret it.

This comes in one box and the setup is straightforward, couldn't be easier Plug and Play. All speakers are solid and high quality built. The scrolling screen inside could be bigger but just turn on The Voice in the smart things app and update it first. The sound is excellent and you have a lot of choices with the remote and the app with your cell phone. It really gives you that movie theater experience with sounds from different directions. Watching basketball sounds like you're in the Arena and football puts you right in the stadium. It gets plenty loud for me I wouldn't need it to be any louder and music sounds excellent as well crystal clear. No regrets, I would buy it again and I know I'll probably get 20 years use out of this cuz my last soundbar was a Samsung that I've had for 10 years and still works but I wanted something better. I bought it at Christmas time and got 500 bucks off

Sound is amazing. Its hard to put in words how immersibe the sound is. Set-up was super easy and the tuning was even simpler. This is a great addition for any sound enthusiast and the look is top notch.

This sound bar is sick! I have a full aureound sound system with physical wires, Klipsch Speakers, and a big old amp/receiver and I gifted this to my parents. I’m honestly jealous of it ha I went to their place a few more times than normal since I installed it. The bass slaps very hard and is very clean. Worth the $1000 I paid and can see why they charged $2000. Usually I complain a bit about how they are overpricing everything but one of the rare cases I agree. Also note I’m an audiophile and have been for 25 years. Quality, volume, sound stage, clarity, etc. it’s literally all there!! Even the wireless speakers and sub are all synced up in realtime so there is no echo or delay! HIGHLY recommend if you wanna feel like you’re at the movie theatre!

Easy to setup and connect the entire unit as describe on the instructions, just have to figure out how to hang the surround speaker, the sound is awesome, I feel like inside a cinema when watching action movie.

This sound bar is amazing. The setup was easy, but finding the best sound quailty was a little more complcated, but nothing that took more than 45 mins to google to get right- The output of this Soundbar is truly spectacular and we rarely go above 20 as the sound would bring the house down around us if much higher. The build quality of this bar is also exceptional.

Awesome sound system that was very easy to setup for a non-techie!

After having software issues with numerous soundbars that had me tearing my hair out (no audio, audio and video passthrough not working correctly, disconnects during Bluetooth and Chromecast), I appreciate how stable this soundbar is. I set it up, it didn't bug me about connecting it to wifi, I plugged in my numerous inputs and it all has been working flawlessly. 120hz HDR passthrough is excellent, it receives the proper audio formats from any source I send it, and works great connected to my Sony TV and various game consoles and PC. The sound quality is very good, rich and detailed and the vocals are *so much* clearer than I have heard from other soundbars (another reason I upgraded). The various sound modes are useful, there is a ton of customization, and the soundstage blew me away. It feels like a full surround sound system, really only lacking in some midbass detail which is to be expected of any soundbar. It's been a great purchase, well worth the money and upgrade for far less headache than my previous soundbar which had muddy dialogue and frequent disconnects (both of which made it hard to host seamless movie nights or watch parties). The only last thing I will note is DO NOT update this soundbar or connect it to the internet or the phone app. Samsung has a long history of ruining devices with updates and this is apparently no different, with one update fully bricking the soundbar and another causing a ton of eARC dropouts. I bought the soundbar, set it up as is, and have tweaked it using the remote. If I want to Chromecast music to it, I Chromecast to my TV then turn the screen off, so the soundbar can stay fully offline. The app should let you disable auto updates, but there are many reports of this not actually preventing updates, so the only way to be truly safe is to keep it fully offline which is not a thankfully difficult thing to do! Giving it four stars for this reason. At this price, this should not be a problem. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, keep this thing offline and I think you'll fine it's an excellent sounding and stable soundbar that will accomplish just about anything you want it to.

Sound bar rocks! It was a little confusing to install because I wasn’t understanding how to connect my Amazon Firestick and my PS5. The only issue I have is that in the two months that I’ve had it, I’ve had to unplug and re-plug the power twice because my PS5 stopped connecting playing sound. Other than that it sounds amazing! The surround sound is unreal! I hear every little background noise - to the point it’s freaked me out! Definitely recommend :-)

This great sounding unit can be installed with the wires concealed in the wall for a clean professional finished look. We called Innovative Wiring Solutions of Katy for our installation and they provided an affordable solution.

Excellent sound system. Bass is powerful as well. Great for watching movies, TV, games, and listening to music as well. Very easy set up too. Definitely would recommend.

Sounds great. Had a Klipsch cinema 600 and the Q990D blows it away watching movies. Very easy to set up just plug and play. Already had the app downloaded from other Samsung products

Great sound and easy to set up. Literally plug and play. Went from a 5.1 soundbar to this one and the tried surround speakers make such a huge difference. Movies, music, tv shows, it does each one very well.

After having ample time to put this Samsung HW-Q990D soundbar through its paces, I can say it is well worth the money. It is by far the best soundbar I’ve ever owned and I can see why it beats the best Bose soundbar in almost all areas (except clearest dialogue during loud effects). I could have paid nearly double for the Q990F which is one generation newer, but the only thing I would have gained is slightly less rattle from the subwoofer. I am highly impressed with this soundbar’s immersive sound experience. Check the dimensions before you buy because the product’s picture doesn’t do it justice. The number of speakers they’ve been able to pack into the bar is amazing, and combined with the large subwoofer and sizable wireless satellite speakers, this soundbar system brings a major upgrade to any home theater especially if you already have a Samsung TV.
