I know I speak for a mass majority of consumers when I say "we just want to take it out of the box and plug it in. Nice and simple." This is exactly what I got when connecting my Samsung Tv to it. It immediately recognized it and I could use my Tv's remote to control the volume. I didn't have to program it or adjust the setting. This is what I want and expect when connecting two Samsung devices. As for the soundbar, my favorite feature is, I can turn the subwoofer down really low and can hear dialog with perfect clarity at 1/2 the volume as before.

Great sound. Easy to hook up and use. I would buy this soundbar again.

The Samsung HW-S50B 3.0 Channel S Series all in one soundbar provides clear and concise audio. It has several options for listening, i,e., music, adaptive, standard, game, sport and Virtual X.

It sounds terrific, however, when I'm watching over-the-air broadcasts, switching from major network stations to the secondary (or local) OTA stations, the volume changes dramatically. That doesn't happen from the TV's built in speaker. I don't know if this can be adjusted, so I'm just "living with it". Otherwise I believe it is a good sound and good value.

Excellent sound bar for my samsung tv. Quality and sound are excellent well worth the extra purchase. TV comes with speakers in back and the sound from the sound bar is worth it.

I mean its okay, not bad but not great it plays sound clear it doeant come with a sub or rear speakers so it does what i wanted it to do. Im also not a huge audio head so yeah its a speaker for a tv thar uses some sort of symphony whatever idk i cant tell the difference.

Great as a bed room system, but as a main roon or theater room system just the bar NO. but i bought to just be used as a simple bedroom speaker and it is working out good. having a remote and it pairing very easy was super fast.

Was looking for a speaker system that's not too loud and affordable. It's good, easy to setup with my Samsung TV. The only downside is that it's not too powerful and still have to crank it up a lot, but now as much as before, on a few channels and movies but it's still really good.

My husband easily connected the sound bar, and it has greatly enhanced the sound of our new Samsung TV. We were used to a big surround sound system but it was not compatible with the new tv. This gives us great sound without taking up nearly as much space.

The Samsung HW-S50B soundbar is an excellent choice if you want a simple, all-in-one setup without sacrificing quality. Despite its compact size, the sound is rich and powerful. The 3.0 channel system with Dolby 5.1 and DTS Virtual:X really expands the soundstage, making movies and music feel immersive.

I connected this soundbar to a 50 inch Samsung TV via an HDMI cable. For me, no setup was required and the new remote for the soundbar controls both the soundbar and the TV. My wife hates having two remotes and that was a big factor in choosing this soundbar rather than another brand. I read other reviews before buying this unit and it seems that some people are expecting this to be the equivalent of a home theater system. It is not. It is a simple soundbar which greatly enhances the tiny little speakers on the TV. I am pleased with this purchase.

This soundbar works well with Samsung TVs and gives you the option to use the soundbar mixed with the internal TV speakers. However, this bar which comes with the remote, the remote does not control some of the functions, like bass and treble... which is pretty annoying. The more expensive model soundbars, with a subwoofer DO work with the remote to control bass and treble and some additional functions... like tv clear voice etc. So keep in mind if your tryiing to do a simple "all-in-one" bar, this has limited functionality, with the remote.

A great sounding speaker. Though i was surprised to see it didnt have a physical control. I understand that companies want everything virtual and seamless, but i donr want to use my phone for everything. Put a remote control, please.
