    Purchased to pair with The Frame TV. Too many wires needed which would have ruined clean install. Returned to store.

    Beware, needs a special cable!

    Great sound and it looks great, and is very small considering how good the sound is. However I knocked the score because you need a special HDMI cable to make it work, come on Samsung, totally unnecessary. I had to go back to the store to buy the right cable.

    Sounds Great but Cannot Mount to Samsung Televisio

    The sound bar sounds great, but we have to find an elegant way to hang it from the bottom of the Samsung television. Not even Samsung makes a bracket for this new sound bar to do anything other than mount it to the wall. The universal bracket that Best Buy sold us was overkill and obtrusive.

    Disappointing but great sound and looks

    We used this for a week or so and then returned it and replaced it with a Sonos Beam on the recommendation of a tech. Lots of glitches. It's too bad because it's a beauty and sounded terrific when it worked properly.

    Looks great installed with the frame tv. Only issue is that there are so many wires. A

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the new HW-S801B Ultra Slim Soundbar. I am sorry to hear that you aren't 100% satisfied with the setup.

      Samsung TVs released in 2017 or later are supported and will be able to use Wi-Fi to connect your Soundbar to your TV.
      1. Connect the Soundbar and TV to the same wireless network (Wi-Fi). Use the SmartThings app on a smart device to connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi
      2. For the sound output of the TV, select Soundbar.
      3. TV sound is output from the Soundbar.

      This will eliminate all but the power cords for your Soundbar to the TV.

    Quality of sound disappointing

    When I got it home I was very disappointed in the quality of the sound. We moved the subwoofer to different parts of the room, watched movies, tv shows, and listed to music. My Polk Mini has much better sound at a much lower cost.

      I’m sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with the performance of your HW-S800B soundbar.

      The HW-S800B has several ways to optimize your audio experience. Please try the various sound modes this model offers. Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select your desired sound effect: ADAPTIVE SOUND, DTS VIRTUAL:X, MUSIC, GAME, STANDARD. When you press the SOUND MODE button it will change to the different modes in the above order.

      You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the TONE CONTROL button.

      To take full advantage of your new soundbar, download the SmartThings App to your smart device. This will allow you to control your soundbar as you would with the provided remote, but with the added advantage of seeing what changes you make on your device.

    Nice sound bar but could be better

    Experienced connection issues using the Wi-Fi option which is strange since this seems to be targeted for the Frame TV where you want to eliminate wires. Also the power cable is now long enough for that application as wheel.

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the power cord and your experiences with the HW-S801B Soundbar. I am sorry that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.

      If you have connected your Soundbar using 2.4Ghz, try using a 5Ghz band if your router has the ability to use this signal. It will offer a stronger and more stable connection.

      We do recommend that you have a router within the same room as the soundbar for the best connection as well. Any walls, ceiling or floors the Wi-Fi signal has to travel through will weaken the signal.

      Always make sure that your soundbar is on the latest firmware as this offers the latest improvements available to the unit. You can easily update your soundbar using SmartThings from your iOS or Android device.

    Sound bar sounds good and remote works good for its slim design, but Sound output from rear speakers not so great. Price might be on high side!

      Using the provided Soundbar remote, press the CH LEVEL button until you see REAR LEVEL. Your SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Speakers can be adjusted between -6 to +6 using the UP/DOWN buttons on your soundbar remote.

      You can adjust the front firing and top-firing speakers as well!

    Subwoofer is a joke

    Ive had this soundbar for about 3 weeks now and while small, sleek, and very functional with my 85”Samsung Frame Tv, the bass output from the small subwoofer is virtually non existent, especially at low volumes. I’ve tried multiple settings and sound modes but i am just not satisfied with the bass. I give this 3 stars because the sound from the soundbar is really good, especially seeing how small the soundbar is. Very clear midrange and center channel voice output but if you like the low end frequencies, this is not the soundbar for you. I will be returning mine this week.
