Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not spend money on this piece of garbage, mine didn't last a year before the screen turned bright white and had vertical lines on the screen, and good luck trying to register the product for warranty, impossible to create an account, they play games. $400 can buy you a quality monitor but this is far from it.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Panel is good enough, visuals are bright and beautiful, but all of that is violently overshadowed by Samsung's inability to produce long lasting panels. After about a month's worth of ownership, my monitor has dedicated itself to a life of simply failing. Any time the input signal is modified (for example, when starting a fullscreen application, or a fullscreen windowed application woth a different resultion than native), the monitor distorts and errors and becomes unusable. This state continues through troubleshooting procedures, can and does occur when plugged into differing devices and when utilizing different cables. The error even applies to the monitor's OSD, making it violently clear that the screen itself is at fault. Due to Samsung's seemingly overall lack of quality control, as observed from various individuals who also have Samsung displays, reports which have been coming up for years on end now, I would *not* recommend anyone purchase their displays, as while they are visually excellent, its inconsistency makes it worth much less than the price tag asks.

Meh, a let down from Samsung

The screen randomly flashes bright white for a half second intermittently. Some times, it does a full reset (shows Samsung + Odyssey logo) then resumes. The menus have many configurable options greyed out on this model.

It makes fps games unplayable, and it takes away from the immersion and gameplay in single player games.

Monitor flickers white, then black, sometimes green, and then red often when trying to game at 120hz. Samsumg released a patch for the other G5 but not this one. Very disappointed in Samsung. Will probably never buy another Samsung monitor.
