Got it for a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, he loves it. Just wish it was more clear that it doesn’t have sound without sound bar but perfect otherwise!

Problem with random flickering

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 of these Samsung Odyssey G51C 32" monitors when they were on sale in June 2023. The one I set up in my office worked great for several months then it started randomly flickering. I tried 3 different DisplayPort cables, 2 different HDMI cables and 2 different graphics cards (NVidia GTX and Intel Arc) and the random flickering persisted. Turn off the monitor and it would go away for a few hours and sometimes a day, but always started flickering again. I called Samsung and spoke with technical support and told me to turn off FreeSync and set the monitor to 120hz but that still didn't solve the issue. I got this monitor because it claims FreeSync and up to 165hz. At that point, I gave up. Too late to return it to Best Buy and Samsung was of no help. I got the second monitor set up in my office and it works great. FreeSync / 165 hz over DisplayPort and no flickering at all. What do I do with the other monitor that flickers? Throw it away?

Definitely a bargain at the price point as originally purchased, and a steal at the price it was lowered to after the fact.
