BOUGHT 2, ONE DEFECTIVE

Bought these for the brand, capabilities and LED lights. One of them works great the other has one of the LED lights on the front out right out of the box. Had return and replace.

Terrible hardware, busted ports all over the place

You'd think for that much money, QA at Samsung would have done their job properly, DisplayPorts are busted, one of the USB ports is also busted. Very glad I went for this instead of the G9, packaging and returning won't be as hard. Whatever works on my 49" LG without any hassle, takes hours to figure out with this Samsung G7. Never again. Sticking with LG for my next monitor and you should too.

Best monitor ever, EXCEPT for one fatal flaw...

Do yourself a favor and Google "Samsung Odysee flicker" and you will find that this monitor has a tragic Achilles heel that prevents it from being one of the best I've ever used. The Oddysee 27" 240hz is simply incredible but completely broken due to rampant flicker issues. I could write paragraphs about all the things I love about this monitor, but none of it matters. The monitor is critically flawed. Other notes: Dealing with Samsung support was a nightmare that I don't want to get into right now, and the end result was that they "didn't have the part to fix my monitor" and "didn't have a replacement monitor to provide". Oddly, they could offer me credit to re-buy the same monitor from their website (which had monitors in-stock), but I would have to pay $20 more than my original purchase on top of the credit from my broken return unit. So, no dice. Long story short... this monitor would be 100% my favorite monitor of all time if it weren't for the game-breaking flicker issue. It's a shame Samsung won't address this problem.

flickering problem
