The item came with a shipping label slapped onto it's original box and was shipped from California to Pennsylvania (Over 2500 miles mind you). Not sure who thought this is a good idea to ship an expensive electronic like this but its 2020 so nothing really surprises me at this point. Pure laziness on the distribution center's behalf.

So far this monitor is only capable of running 1440p@60 or 1080p@120. I am very disappointed with my purchase to say the least. A waste of money!!!!

Poor build quality

After 6 months, the screen started coming unglued from the monitor. It then wound up cracking. When I talked to samsung they said it was not covered because of the crack even though there was clearly a build quality problem.

I’ve tried adjusting every combination of settings but have an issue where the screen just goes black after playing a while (~1 hour). Drivers all up to date, tried multiple HDMI/DisplayPort cables. Nothing helps.

Worst Refurbished buy

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Monitor is phenomenal but since I bought it "Best Buy excellent refurbished" it was far from it. #1 gripe, it was missing the G7 Odyssey VESA mount adapter so now I have to find one on eBay. And the monitor is cracked and chipped. But the screen is fine at least.

Until recently, it started losing signal on DisplayPort1 at random times. Could not fix it. My secondary monitor works on the same cable with no issues, tried switching ports on the GPU, changing to 8bpc, and updating firmware. Nothing seems to work. Sadly, I'll have to switch this monitor out to something more reliable.

After everything I’ve seen come out the past couple years I still think this is the best 1440p monitor on the market. I’ve grown to prefer gaming on 1440p coming from a 4k big screen couch gamer. I’ve even recently started pc gaming on a laptop and plug that to the monitor and it’s still flawless. Now that they’re 500 (800 when I first bought it) I’m gonna pick up a second one. I’ve been combing the internet the past year for a second monitor and I always find myself coming back to this one. 5 stars across the board I 100% recommend this monitor.

It has amazing performance that rivals TN panels, HDR that honestly surprised the hell out of me (requires tons of tweaking cause of windows), 240hz and 1440P! Now the draw backs of this monitor and what's truly keeping it from being the best monitor on the market is the flickering issue and panel lottery (which every monitor brand has). When I originally turned it on without updating I immediately noticed the flickering, Updating my firmware fixed the flickering issue for the most part. The only time I notice it now is during loading screens and it only flickers like once or twice. No big deal but still inexcusable for $700. Panel wise mine is absolutely perfect, no dead pixels and the backlight is almost completely black, during loading screens it basically looks OLED with the small amount of local dimming zones (only during loading screens of course). Hopefully Samsung finally recognizes the flicker issue so this monitor can be perfection! My guess is its a software issue.
