Customers are saying
Customers commend the Odyssey G7 monitor's picture quality, refresh rate, and immersive curved screen. Many appreciate the vibrant colors and HDR capabilities, although some found the price point high. A few users reported issues with flickering and dead pixels, while others experienced problems with adaptive sync and DisplayPort connections. Overall, the positive feedback on picture quality and refresh rate outweighs the negative experiences reported by some users.

Good monitor but would wait for sale.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. I have had no issues that others have reported. No dead or stuck pixels and no flickering with or without Gsync even before installing updated firmware. Nice display, 240hz at 1440p is nice. Only complaint and reasons for nocking a star off is that some games are REALLY dark in some areas. Like the Tower in Destiny 2. Haven't had time to play around with settings too much so it may not be a big issue once things are tweaked. Other reason is giant feet on the stand take up a lot of desk real estate. Right now using laptop version of 2070 with this, can't wait to push this thing when my 3080 arrives. I got this on sale for $550 and definitely would recommend at this price but I would think twice about it $699 and maybe look at LG instead.

Great monitor for high refresh 1440 gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wasn't sure about the curved screen at first but this is by far the best monitor i've used. You will need a high end PC to push the monitor though, otherwise you're better off getting a 144 or 165hz one. My pc build has a 5900x and 3090 and some games i still can't reach 200+ frames.

Exceptional
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extremely happy with it. The 240Hz is incredible for FPS games and the color reproduction and HDR is wonderful. At 1440p it'll require a beefy PC to get the full 240Hz, but you won't find a better monitor. The curve is dramatic, being 1000R, however the 28 inch model ultimately is about as wide as the 27 inch monitor I have above it.

Best VA monitor out now!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will admit that this monitor is great for what it is, VA panels are normally not my first choice for gaming monitors, while it has excellent contrast ratio and poppy colors, I am not a fan of the VA smearing with dark games, games such as Cyberpunk, compared to my final choice monitor which was the Dell IPS S2721DGF, this monitor wasn't as appealing to me when it comes to motion blur. The monitor is the fastest VA panel you can get, which is saying something, I will admit it is fast and would have kept it, as is again very fast, nice colors, contrast ratio was great...even with the dark smearing inherent from VA panels, main reason why I didnt keep it was it took too much desk space with the wide V shaped stand and 1000R curve. A v2 version of this with 1800R and a better stand would be a killer deal. Value is too that it works great for consoles.

Not my favorite
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoyed this monitor at the beginning, but eventually the flaws started showing more than its beauty. when i first took the screen out of the box it was massive for only being a 27" monitor. I quickly realized i was going to have to reorganize my whole desk just to fit it. its definitely not for people who are already short on space in their set up. Once i got it set up it it was instantly noticeable how much better it was than my old screen.. The colors do pop! very beautiful. But thats really all i can say for it. Eventually i figure out HDR mode only works in 144hz. (not a deal breaker.) One of the most annoying problems i was having with this screen is that when it goes in to sleep mode, it takes it a long time to wake up. and as it wakes up it does some weird reset and everything you had set up on the second screen is now on the main screen again, and you have to move it all back over. That wasnt the deal breaker though... Eventually the rumored flickering started to happen. I don't really know the science behind it, but everyone just told me to turn gsync off ( one of the main reasons i got it) and it would help. Well that didnt help at all. The flickering became unbearable to me. I returned the screen and probably wont be trying Samsung again for a while

Bon apetit
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Image is crisp and vibrant, quick response time and the hz makes my games seamless. There are issues with backlight bleed and the monitor doesn’t do a very good job with dark scenes in movies/shows on platforms like Netflix, Hulu, etc. But in its defense, it is a 2k monitor. 2k has a choppy look due to uneven pixel distribution. Pair that with lack of contrast in dark scenes AND backlight bleed and you’re left with a mushy grey dark gray/black screen. Think chunky oatmeal you left in the microwave for 2 weeks. It is a nice step up from my AOC CQ127G1 27in 2k but I only recommend you buy it if it’s on sale. So in conclusion: Gaming-9.7/10 Movie Night-4.2/10

An amazing display!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, so good. I had a 24" 1080p HP monitor before this, and while it was good, this blows it out of the water. I went with the 27", as I feel like thats the biggest you would want to go on a gaming display. The color on the display really pops, and the response time makes games of all caliber extremely smooth. Games like CP2077 and CoD look absolutely jaw dropping on this display. As for the curve, after two days you will hardly notice it's there any more. I DID have to update the firmware, but that being said it's a breeze. Solved the "flickering" issue for me right away. Flash the firmware to a thumb drive, plug into the service port, and away you go. Easy and painless. The ONLY issue I have it that it doesn't have a standalone on/off switch, which is a little weird but its a minor gripe. I'm curious to see how it will hold up over time, however that what the GeekSquad coverage is for!

Best monitor for the Cost
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Colors are perfect, stand is sturdy and the screen can rotate at any angle. All settings are customizable from the screens menu so I can switch picture modes between games easily. Not too big and not too small. Can’t go wrong for the amount paid

Great monitor, for 2015.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although this monitor has a few improvements it really doesn't bring nothing new to the market...at least at this price tag. Aside from fast refresh rate, there's is no reason to buy it.

Great monitor!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once you get used to the curve it’s really cool. Awesome monitor overall. It does have a large footprint for its size so you should consider the depth of your desk if you use the stand.

Way too curved
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture was great, and the refresh rate was great. I just couldn't get used to the extreme 1000R curve.

Excellent Display
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 1440p and 240hz capabilities of this monitor make it one of the best on the market if not they best. Works really well with my RTX 2080TI and Ryzen 9 3950x PC. Still need that 3080.

Value exceeds price in comparison to competitors
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Monitor rocks! I was concerned about the curve, not a big deal. After hours of use my flat monitors seem to buldging out at me, lol. The prettiest, the fastest iin it's class.

Superb color, response, and size
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture clarity is amazing! Colors are vibrant. I purchased an Alienware AW2521H 360hz because I want that competitive edge. Downgrading to 1080p is awful. This Samsung is far superior to the Alienware. The only downfall of this monitor in my opinion is that it’s curved. (That’s personal preference) for other games besides competitive games such as call of duty, I would say the curve is a must. Pretty immersive. I also got this monitor on a deal.
