    I bought this monitor with hopes to have a 3 monitor set up to complete my pc gaming experience. This was one of the 2 O picked up today(the other being a 34" widescreen odyssey g5) When I got home and set everything up the monitor wouldnt turn on. Not even a standby light. I thought maybe I didnt plug something in all the way so i double checked every cord and every outlet in the room. But still after all that it wasnt turning on. So knowing it was defective I packed it right back up and returned it.

    I updated my monitor and got this display. Great display other than for the random black flicking I get. It only happens to the top part of the monitor and will even happen on the desktop.

    Gsync flickering issue.

    Don’t buy. This monitor says compatible with Gysnc but it has problems with the screen flickering . It’s all up to date an everything. Google screen flicker gsync and it will show you and after a couple years the menu button doesn’t work which is also a problem. After this made this monitor they made a new model that doesn’t have issues.

    Flickering still visible after Firmware Update

    I bought this monitor and loved it at first then I started to notice flickering. Invested countless hours figuring out how to fix this because the new firmware doesn't fix the issue at all for me for some reason. I will probably be returning this for a new one or I will look for another monitor to use. Very disappointing and I have mixed feelings about this monitor now.

    Flickers with Adaptive Sync active.

    I tried everything to fix this. Every single game has sever flickering when trying to use this monitor with gsync. Everything is updated and latest drivers are installed. Samsung has no fix for the issue either. Disappointing as gsync compatibility is supposed to required AT MINIMUM no flickering. Someone lied, either Nvidia or Samsung. Will need to find a replacement before I can return.

    Flickering Problem with no fix was too much

    I had the problem with the Flickering problem. My monitor had the current firmware update when purchased. I tried to trouble shoot in so many ways but the flickering was too much from constant to going black for almost a second. I really wanted to purchase a 2nd monitor but I'm not going to gamble and look for a new/different monitor.

    I've had to send this monitor to Samsung 2 times in the first month to get ot repaired. Absolutely horrible build quality. Avoid buying this at all cost. Its basically a gamble if your monitor will be a good panel or not.

    Failed after 5 months of use. Apparently this model has had a number of QC issues with a really laggy OSD, long startup times (20+sec), and in my experience really cludgey implementation of G Sync compatibility resulting in lots of flickering.

    G7 one of the best monitors I have owned!

    I was going to get the G9 but with some of the case problems, unavailability and thinking about content I decided to go with the 35in. I was using a LG 43in computer monitor and it was too big for a gaming and every day use and it was only 60hz with no FreeSync support. With most content being 16x9 and with the coming of the new Sony PS5 and Microsoft xbox X, which are designed for TV, their content size will most likely stay the same and not change. The curve helps pull you eyes into the screen. Monitor refresh is amazing, works great with my 2019 MacBook Pro 16. Make sure you get a good cable that supports usb c to displayport 1.4 to get all the performance out of the Mac and the display. Was thinking about a LG OLED 48in TV with HDMI 2.1 but the size is too large and concerned about burn in with the display with gaming. I think that connected a new PS5 or Xbox to this display will still be very good once the new gaming consoles are released.

    This monitor is not for the faint of heart. It's too fast. Colors are too punchy. It's too curvy. Takes up too much space. It costs too much. It flickers too much. And lastly, it's too much fun! Add an rtx 3080, stir and enjoy some of that 300fps goodness.

    after a couple of months I've notice I'm starting to see dead pixels pop up and you have to buy a USB Storage 2.0 only nothing that is 3.1 / 3.0 backwards compatible will work is has to be 2.0 to fix the random flicker screen

    Display Problems

    This monitor kind of sucks. While the "performance" is great, the screen has all kinds of display anomalies and issues, dead/stuck pixels, lines, flickering, flashing, the monitor itself even crashes or hard locks and has to have the power unplugged to reset. If they fixed those issues I'd recommend it, but as it is it's absolutely miserable. From what I've seen online and talked to others who have also bought this, one or more of these issues seem common among almost all of them, and possibly from terrible Quality Control and Assurance.
