Bought this to have a hard drive that could take a little careless punishment. Shock resistant is the plus. Use will let me know if it truly is shock resistant

No thunderbolt 3 cable included.I purchased this for my new MacBook pro with touch bar. I have to spend $20 to get Thunderbolt 3 cable for this . If you connect to your MacBook pro through USB-C ,make sure not use USB-C; which will significantly bottleneck the transfer speed. Make sure purchase ,Thunderbolt 3 cable instead of USB-c cable to realize full potential of the driver.

I had a couple of SSD external USB hard drives before I bought the Samsung Portable SSD T3. I use the external SSD drives with Windows 10 laptops as normal part of the accessories I carry with each because of the small system hard drives they have. The Samsung Portable SSD T3 is physically a little larger then the other SSD external drives I have and with a storage capacity of 250 GB about 10 GB larger then the other portable SSD drives I have. The Samsung uses the latest USB 3.1 standard and claims transfer rates up to 450 MB/sec. which is faster then any of the laptops I have will either read or write from an external drive or their internal drives for that matter. Bottom line the Samsung is solidly built, compact and fast. I recommend it to my family and friends.

This thing is super portable. Very small and light, would fit in any laptop bag. Also nice that it comes pre-formatted in exFAT so its compatible with Mac and PC. I actually bought this to transfer files between the two. I also went with the SSD for reliability. Without any moving parts this thing should last a good long time. You can get a portable HDD with much more storage for less, but it isn't going to be as reliable. I recommend this thing all day for anybody wanting a good, reliable portable storage option, and doesn't need a heap of space.

Great product, so happy Best buy is selling this type of drive. It's a little high considering SSD's were gold in 2012. $109.99 would make more sense. Excellent device. I love USB type C. This drive is the perfect backup drive for newer computers with smaller SSD's.

I picked this drive for my Xbox One because of its speed. This drive delivers! You couldn't ask for a better drive. Highly recommended. Get it.

Bought this on an impulse purchase and was not disappointed. Make sure your machine fully supports USB 3.0 to get the full effect. It's about as fast as my internal SATA SSD on the same machine. Very impressed.
