    I bought this in Sep 2024 and I only use it occasionally for my insta360 camera. Less than a year, the microSD card is no longer usable. I'm fortunate the videos I stored in this were for fun and not really important memories. Had I used this to store important data, I'd be furious. This item is under warranty but Samsung support has been making it impossible to deal use the warranty.

    Sd card problem.

    After I loaded the sd card on my computer, the size changed to 32GB instead of the 256GB. Tried numerous methods but no luck. I think it’s a manufacturer error.

Formatting your card to exFAT or NTFS often resolves this issue -- it is most likely formatted as FAT32 right now which would result in only 32GB showing.

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung PRO Plus memory card. Samsung drives and memory cards adhere to the IDEMA standard of advanced formatting, which will result in the card appearing as slightly less than the listed size. This is a common industry-wide standard.

      The amount of space that appears to be "missing" is in fact used by the drive/card for storing firmware, metadata and spare blocks. Your operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.) will also affect the usable space -- different operating systems will use different amounts of space to store their metadata. Consequently, formatted space will always be less than unformatted space.

      You can look IDEMA up online for more technical details about this standard, which is established by The International Disk Drive Equipment and Materials Association.
