Best sound bar I’ve had. Highly recommend this entire set up

So far so good. I bought this soundbar system to help improve the sound with my new samsung 85" tv. The set up was flawless. Pretty much plug in and go!

I'm new tech ignorant & 75 years old. I desired a more comprehensive user's manual. That said, 1 HDMI cable(supplied) & connect to HDMI/ARC & boom, great surround experience.

High quality sound with easy set up. I did a lot of research before I bought a new sound bar and this one had all the bells and whistles that I was looking for. Terrific purchase.

This thing is awesome. Major upgrade from a 2.1 Samsung system.

This sound bar has been one of the most disappointing purchases i've ever made. I've now had this for about 4 months and my experience only seems to have become worse since i bought it. Let's start off with the Pros: 1. Sleek design 2. Front bar sounds good 3. Good voice enhancement options. Cons: 1. Starting off with day one, the sound bar would not update firmware. Regardless of what i tried it would not upgrade. I finally figured out that if you don't have audio running when checking for firmware and attempting to update, the sound bar will not let you check/update. I don't understand why it would require that. Does samsung really want folks to interrupt their viewing to update this information when it needs to be done manually? 2. I get its a sound bar and my ceilings are very high, they're roughly about 12 feet high, so i wasn't expecting the height virtual speakers to really blow me away since the sound would need to travel a long distance and would probably not make it to my ears by then, but i was at least hoping that the surround sound would be nice. I thought wrong! i sometime forget i have the two speakers in the back because they barely come in. i walk up to them to confirm they are on and even standing next to them they are drowned out by the bar audio. 3. The options to try and boost up the rear speakers does not exist. You have an increase for sub, sides, and making the rear speakers into front, and even then when i changed them to front to hear what the difference was in audio levels... they were the same, no difference. 4. The remote is bare bones, and the "display" on the sound bar isn't very usable so you rely heavily on the app. The problem is that the Smart Things app shows the sound bar as "off line" at least once a week. You can look this up by the model number online and you will see the plethora of issues with this dating back to last year and it still hasn't been resolved. I've tried every single troubleshooting for this issue that i've found from Samsung, Reddit, Google, and even the app itself and nothing. Every week i have to delete the sound bar from smart things, and go through the process of adding it back on to the account which is about 5 minutes of time. 5. The HDMI connection is on the side of the sound bar which means your HDMI will be bent at an angel to leave the sound bar. I mean you could buy and angled HDMI connector, but then you just add another point of failure or degradation to the video. 6. The sound bar doesn't let you default an input to connect to. It automatically goes to TV (D. IN/TV Arc), but my TV is plugged in to HDMI 1. When i power it on i have to keep pressing multiple buttons on the Apple TV so that a sound can be made and the sound bar understands that it needs to change the input to an active input. This part is hit or miss. Sometimes it switches and sometimes it doesn't. 7. I've lost audio level number indicator. For some reason my audio levels would read 10, 11, 12... etc, in regards to how loud i had the sound bar, but now its changed to being only a -/+ to indicate which direction i am changing audio. Now when i start the TV i don't know how loud it was and have been caught by surprise when i forgot i was watching an NFL game at a loud level before i went to bed and the TV blasts on. 8. Random sync issues with being able to power on and off TV. The way i currently have my setup is that if i power off my Apple TV my sound bar turns off and so does my TV. This is done via IR and worked for MANY years with the audio receiver i replaced. When i have a power outage for some reason the sound bar refuses to accept the off command. i have to power down the power strip to all the devices and turn it back on so that the sound bar starts accepting the IR signal from the Apple TV in order for it to turn off when i am done viewing. 9. Is Space Fit even doing anything? This sound bar comes with a Space Fit option you can enable. This is supposed to be an option that allows the sound bar to use its microphones to adjust speakers, but as i said... the rear speakers are barely on and this unit has no "test" that can be used to check/confirm changes being made. 10. Samsung support is horrible. There are no self serve options that allow you to chat or email their support, at least none that i could find, when i use the links WITHIN THE APP!! All in all i was very excited with my purchase, until it came in and 4 months later i realize i a stuck with this purchase, unless i resell and lose money on it. If you're limited on space or many, look for alternate sound bars. If you are not then i would either recommend a receiver or any other sound bar except this one. I was originally going to mark it as a 2 star, but as i kept writing this i realized that this product really only deserves a 1 star at best.

This is something I would normally never spend money on, but i'm happy I did. Makes watching a movie at home a different experience.

The output is overwhelming, efficient, and a class of it's own.
