This sound bar was an upgrade to a 3.1.2 system I had which was good, but this one is way better. If you can get the rear speakers to go with it, I highly recommend that you get them & you will have a fabulous 7.1.4 system on your hands. I feel like the sub has a lot more kick too. You have to download the Smart Things app so you can update the firmware & it will unlock all types of settings for you to access. You can give the bass a boost, amplify dialogue, set the different frequencies (standard mode only), different sound modes, etc. There are some helpful YouTube videos to help set it up so you can get the new experience. A lot of people give this sound bar bad reviews like it’s not worth the money, but I attribute this to not fully understanding how to work the sound bar. It has to be tweaked to make it sound how you want it to. Completely all the necessary steps to get it up & running & you will be blown away like I was. Buy it. You’ll love it!

Paired this with my Samsung S89c with Q-Symphony and I am very pleased. Deep strong bass from the wireless sub, and extremely crisp and clear mid/highs from the soundbar, which is appropriately wide enough to support this sized tv. No Wires to deal with, and fantastic "Immersive" sound for a room no larger than 500sq ft. The surround is decent, but if you are looking for the best, then upgrade to the rear speaker model. (7.1 - 11.1) Fantastic overall buy for the price!

This review is for the Q800C without rear surround speakers. Used with Apple TV and remote. Installation is easy, but you’ll find the on-line manual very helpful in understanding how the soundbar remote works to set the relative volumes of top, center, and side speakers; and also choose modes. The Apple remote will take over on/off, overall volume, and selection of streaming apps. Stereo effect is detectable, not striking. Atmos is nonexistent (for 12’ ceiling and vegas). Bass is excellent. Voice is good, not great. Plenty of volume. There are myriad adjustments, including an equalizer using the SmartThings app, but those by the soundbar remote are the most significant. The soundbar in my installation is really a 3.1 system, and for many-channel sources cannot compare with my 5.1 system with 5 separate speakers and a sub. Maybe adding the rear surround speakers would change that? Overall I am happy with this soundbar - I was not expecting more.

I'm very satisfied with this sound bar. It does everything I need it to do and the setup is insanely easy. Everything is wireless which I was surprised about. I was under the impression I'd have to hook up the Subwoofer and rear speakers, but those are wireless as well! The sound fills the room nicely, and I honestly have no complaints. It's great for a smaller room, or even a bigger room. I have it paired with my Samsung Q80 TV and I love how everything just works, the setup is quite minimal. I can easily tap my phone to play spotify. In terms of the remote that comes with the soundbar, if you have a Samsung TV, you don't even have to use the soundbar remote because it syncs flawlessly with your tv remote and you can control everything from just the tv remote.

Good sounding system. It is not like my old surround system that consisted of 5 individual speakers and a sub, but has a sleek and nice look. Only thing I would do and am considering is getting the two rear wire less speakers to make the system a full surround system. They have one you can purchase with the rear speakers already. I got my speaker set up for a great sale price and if you package it with your TV purchase you even save more. If they would of had the mark down on the system with the rear speakers I would of purchased that system for sure. Couldnt pass up the deal on the one I got and it does sound great. So all in all for the price I am satisfied. It sound bar does fit great in front of the TV. Does not affect picture at all.

Love this new sound bar. The sound quality is definitely better than my old sound bar. It was easy to set up as well! Love how the sound fills my whole room!

My Samsung - Q-series 5.1.2 ch Wireless Dolby Atmos Soundbar w/ Q Symphony - Black is absolutely phenomenal. This sound system is about as real as it gets! The acoustic value is off the charts. I was very excited when I got my sound bar at sink right up versus Bose. The quality of the sound is very awesome. For the money I think it’s a very good.

I purchased the Samsung HW-Q800C about three days ago. I installed the unit, including surrounds. Three days later, I have already encountered an issue. I turned on the system, and even though the blue LED lights on both the subwoofer and the 9500S Dolby Atmos Surround speakers were a steady glow, there wasn’t any sound coming through those channels. In addition, when switching between sound enhancements, i,e, Standard, Surround, Game etc, only the “Standard” enhancement would provide audio. I went through the steps in resetting the soundbar. But that did not solve my problem. I found that unplugging and replugging in the sound bar would correct this issue. Let’s face it Ladies and Gentlemen, this unit is classified as “NEW”. I should not be experiencing any issues at this point. Especially a soundbar that originally retails for a grand. So instead of contacting Samsung Technical Support team, and they send a refurbished unit, I have ordered another unit. Should I encounter the same issue, or any issue for that matter, it will be returned for a full refund. Since Samsung continues to neglect to provide a pink noise generator to be certain that all channel(s) are functioning normally, I had to find a Dolby Atmos Audio Test program via the internet. Now, I can be certain of each drivers’ status within the system. I have read reviews on people complaining that with Samsung sound bars, some channels are not working. I must admit that 360 watts is somewhat underpowered for a true Dolby Atmos System. Surprisingly enough, the sound bar/ subwoofer/ surrounds do fill the room. Although competitors are offering 420 watts for their systems. It takes quite a bit of energy to drive these speakers, as small as they are. USB port, on the bottom? This stunt makes updating firmware more of a hassle. The subwoofer is another topic. I am not crazy about the side firing drivers. However, this subwoofer had a ten-inch driver as opposed to six inches. Unless you have the subwoofer placed in a corner, bass impact will be lost. I have mine in the corner with the port facing the corner, and the ten-inch driver facing the wall. This makes the bass non-directional. It is a completely different listening experience when the driver is located either in the front or the bottom of the subwoofer. I am not exactly thrilled about BestBuy’s fourteen-day return policy. It is unreasonable when it comes to electronics. There are too many features to cover in such a short time. However, since I purchased the sound bar prior to the Christmas holiday, that had given me some lead time. If it were any other time of the year, I would return the unit with the intensions of dealing with another online retailer.

The sound from this sound at is amazing! The bass is great and my kids love blasting music on friday nights to dance.

Great Soundbar, very impressed with the subwoofer quality. Can feel gravity hammers in my chest now on Halo Infinite, or fireball explosions from Mushoku Tensei, anime openings sound crazy good. Action movies now pack a punch. 100% recommend.

Very satisfied with this product. Easy to set up. Took my husband about an hour to hang the bar, set it up and everything. We love the bass it gives off. Feels as if we are in a movie theater.

Very nice product that delivers great sound. Took me than 30 minutes to get completely setup. Wireless sub is easy setup also. Have soundbar on, turn on sub and it connects in just a few seconds
