Clear sound, iffy surround sound results

I am not impressed with the "surround sound" that it provides, It may just be the room that I installed it in (vaulted ceilings and the back of the room is open). It paired up easily with my Samsung TV but I cannot seem to get the Dolby Atmos to work in conjunction with my Samsung One Connect.

Thank you for sharing your review of the HW-Q930C Samsung Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not fully satisfied with your purchase.
The easiest way to take full control of your Soundbar would be to download SmartThings to your smart device (iOS and Android compatible). From here you will setup the HW-Q930C Soundbar on Wi-Fi, and then you will be able to change all of the settings just like you would from the provided Soundbar remote.
This will allow you to change the different channels including the rear speakers front and top firing channels to help improve your overall surround sound experience. Also consider trying the different Sound Modes that are available. When you use Surround, Game, or Adaptive Sound Modes the TV will send the correct audio channels to the current speakers on your Soundbar. If you are using Standard Mode, then it will only play audio in stereo format, thereby reducing the overall surround effect.
If your TV has an eARC HDMI port, then you will need to go in to the Sound Settings within your TV to set Dolby Atmos to ON or Auto. This will allow the TV to properly play Dolby Atmos content. If your TV does not have an eARC HDMI port, then you need to make sure that the setting Dolby Digital+ is turned on.

Thank you for purchasing the new HW-Q930C Soundbar. I am glad to see that you love the Soundbar unit itself.
You can increase the levels, front and top, of your rear speakers using your Soundbar remote by pressing the CH LEVEL. Using the UP/DOWN buttons on the remote to adjust the levels between -6 to +6. You can also adjust all of the settings of your Soundbar using SmartThings after you have paired the Soundbar to Wi-Fi.
Also, make sure that the Soundbar is set to Surround, Adaptive, or Game Pro Sound Modes. These will allow the Soundbar to properly send the rear channels to the rear speakers. Otherwise, if you are using Standard, this can reduce the overall sound of your rear speakers.
