lose-lose
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the third rack makes it so that the bottom rack is barely tall enough to even fit plates. I often have to wash items multiple times (more than 2) just to get everything off. So it cleans poorly, and you can't fit much into it.

Bad quality dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dishwasher and it worked fine at the beginning. Five months later, LC (Leak Code) came on. We called the manufacturer and they gave us some things we can check, it worked for about a week and the code came on again. We bought warranty when we purchased the dishwasher so we called Geek Squad. They came to check it out and turns out the Control Board stopped working. We only used this for five months!!! I wish I got a Bosch. If you decide to go with a Samsung dishwasher, get the warranty as well. I won't be buying another Samsung dishwasher.

get a Bosch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a Bosch dishwasher before this purchase and wish we still had it. The Samsung is quite loud at start and cycle change moments, not what we would have thought from reading all of the reviews here. The Bosch we never knew was running except for seeing the red light on the floor, the Samsung there is no mistaking when it is on. Additionally, the silverware caddy's are not as flexible in use as the Bosch ones ~you could put the lids down to use them for larger items, whereas the Samsung ones you can not. And the caddy's are not secure, they lean when you put silverware in them and fall off - there is no 'snap-on' connection to the shelf like on the Bosch. Then the back racks on the bottom that can fold down just move on their own - they also do not snap in and stay. Frustrating, poor design, feels cheap. SUPER DISAPPOINTED, I would never buy a Samsung dishwasher again, from here on out only Bosch. On a positive note, the black stainless is nice and does not seem to be a magnet for fingerprints and the dishes have been getting clean.

Mother board nightmare
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing broke, I kid you not, one week after the one year factory warranty ran out. Both motherboards died. Called Samsung and threw a fit so they only charged me the labor for the repair. The labor only was $200. That was in March 2018. Motherboard died again, 9 months later in Dec 2018. The repairs would cost over $700 and Samsung won’t do anything about it. I’ll be buying a new washer and it won’t be a Samsung. Luckily I got extended warranty’s on all my other Samsung appliances because they are constantly coming out to fix the motherboards on all of them. Wish I would’ve got the geek squad extended warranty on the dishwasher. If you want to deal with expensive motherboard issues, buy a Samsung appliance. Washer machine, refrigerator, all of it is the same.

Worst Dishwasher Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got the entire Samsung package for our new home - fridge, range, microwave and dishwasher. The dishwasher had issues from the start (with the microwave crapping out at 14 months - just past the warranty period) and with Best Buy telling us to call Samsung directly we got nowhere. They tried to go through troubleshooting and basically gave up. The soap dispenser wouldn't open during the cycle so we'd have to leave it open, which led to major streaking inside the door. Then at about 18 months old it started giving us the blinking error that so many others have reported (now that it has been on the market longer) which essentially makes it stop mid-cycle and not wash anything - just waste your water. OVER $700 for a dishwasher that doesn't even make it TWO years? DON'T BUY THESE SAMSUNG PRODUCTS. There is no help from the company and they breakdown quickly and often. Now, sadly we are faced with another purchase we hadn't expected having brought brand new expensive appliances.

Don't waste your money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For two years this dishwasher worked great. Then the led gave out. Geek squad came out and fixed. Then a week later we get the LC code which means there is a leak. Geek squad came out and fixed the leak. LC code continues. This dishwasher is trash.

DO NOT BUY!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buyer beware!!! Exactly eight days (yes eight days) after having this dishwasher installed it stopped working and gave an LC code. Called Best Buy the next day and they said we could return it and exchange it for a different brand. After going to the store and choosing a new dishwasher (an LG) and getting an install date for the next week we came home to water on and under our floor. We had to uninstall the dishwasher and get it outside as quickly as possible to save our floor. DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!! I'm sure some of them are fine but why take the chance?!?! If I could give it zero stars I would.

Repeat Wash Cycles
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this washer to match the suite of black stainless steel appliances (fridge, range, micro). While the other pieces work fine, the dishwasher is hard to love. We are constantly having to run the washer twice to get our dishes clean. We are excellent rinsers, so it's frustrating to know this machine cannot keep up with washing our dishes clean. If you like running cycles more than once, this machine is for you. I also don't like the black stainless steel. I don't care what anyone says, once you have the entire suite, they look too harsh and dark in a kitchen. We're ditching the black steel once these babies croak. I'd be happier with the smudges than feeling like I have four dark objects in my home.

STOPPED POWERING ON JUST AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRED
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I "UPGRADED" all of my appliances a little over a year ago, Samsung seemed to be a no brainer and have great reviews. I already had a house full of there TVs, Monitors and other electronics and have never had an issue with any of them. After six months I had an issue with my cook top that Samsung refused to even discuss under warranty saying it could only be due to negligence. We were not happy with the response but still moved on thinking that would be the only issue that would arise. Now 16 months after our purchase the dishwasher will not power on. After doing a little research there are now many negative reviews on the internet and the power issue is extremely well know and not even the most common or serious issue with the unit! This product should have definitely been recalled by now but for some reason is still on the market. For those who would like to save them selves the headache please feel free to look on this one issue alone(13 page thread) and please do yourself a favor and choose a different brand all together! There quality is obviously getting worse and there customer support is the worst I have ever dealt with!!

Worked great at first, downhill from there
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this dishwasher for 3 months and it worked great until the control board stopped working. Fortunately it was still under warranty and we got it repaired. But it stopped working well afterward. It leaves my dishes dirty no matter what I do. I clean the filters at least twice a week, scrape and rinse my dishes before putting them in, and my dishes come out caked in food debris somehow. I’m on year two of owning it and can’t wait until I have the money to replace it. I’ll never buy this brand again.

Never buy this dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not EVER buy this dishwasher, EVER. I have had 3 major problems with it, all having to do with cheap shoddy design. When I tried to get it fixed, even under warranty, the company had horrible contracts with horrible companies that did everything in their power to avoid fixing it. Once, I had to fix a stupidly placed sensor myself using a youtube video because of a sensor that produced a debilitating error message. Last thing that happened was that one reason I bought this thing was its stainless steel drum A metal panel on the right hand side of the appliance sheared off, blocking the bottom panel. The call center in the Dominican Republic said they couldn't fix that, and that I was on my own. Note that during the warranty period, they wouldn't fix the machine for SIX MONTHS. So they single-handledly voided the warranty period while I sat there unable to wash my dishes. NEVER EVER EVER BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM THIS COMPANY. Their sole reason for being in business is to AVOID FIXING THEIR SHODDY PRODUCTS.

$800.00 dishwasher?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this dishwasher 15 months ago and it has been nothing but problems: 1. Full of electrical problems - won't turn on 30% of the time unless I flip the breaker off then on. 2. Two of the racks began to rust after only a few months. 3. No longer cleans on the top two racks... I mean at all. But worst of all by far is Samsung's lack of customer service throughout all these problems: 1. Said my 1 year warranty was over after 8 months of ownership. 2. Said they would ship me another set of racks twice then backed out of the commitment without letting me know. 3. Required ridiculous amounts of paperwork from me to evidence my warranty after 8 months then when I sent it to them they wanted more. 4. When I finally got them to send me new racks one of them was broken. Needless to say I will NEVER buy Samsung again.

I hope the Samsung engineers don't sleep at night.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here's how it works: (1) You pay top money for "top" of the line product (2) You use it for, like, a few weeks (3) You get an "LC" code. Dishwasher trapped in a never-ending cycle of beeping and running pump. Only way to shut it down is circuit breaker. (4) You search and immediate find dozens of videos about the LC code trap, and how to fix it. You take out the whole washer, unscrew things, dry a sensor, reassemble. You're dirty and tired when finished. (5) Few weeks later, this repeats. On average, you will get an LC code about 20-30 times per year. Any minor condensation will trigger the sensor on this pie.o.sh. of engineering (no better word for it). (6) At the end you get tired and rip out the whole sensor by the wires from the washer. After all this is the 21st century, we are close to have Artificial Intelligence drive our cars, so what's a little anger-reducing senseless act of frustration among friends. Looking forward to the next-generation model from the marvel line of expensive washers coming from Samsung!

Not recommended
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After one month I had to call a repairman due to the fact that the dishes were not coming clean. Since it was still under warranty, Samsung sent one out. He looks at it and says nothing is wrong & off he goes. A few weeks later I call again and same thing happens. I place the 3rd call & after much back and forth with customer service, they send out a third repairman. The dishes are being completely rinsed, I mean every speck of food removed, and still not coming clean after a wash cycle. The third repairman again states nothing is wrong and could be due to the dish placement when loaded. We took his advice and, to this day, it still doesn't work properly. I've never been so disappointed with an appliance before. We love our Samsung washer & dryer but will never purchase another dishwasher made by them. We should have taken the advice of the salesperson that said "Samsung is not known for their dishwashers. Stick to who you know."
