No Cords but lacks big sound

We love the fact that it didn't require any cords which needed to be hidden. However, it doesn't seem to be much of an improvement over our soundbar in terms of base. maybe it needs to get broken in a little more.

Thank you for purchasing this Samsung SWA-W700 Subwoofer. I am sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the subwoofer sound performance.
Please know that when a subwoofer is connected to the soundbar, the Bass button on the remote becomes the Subwoofer key. You can push the button up or down to adjust the subwoofer volume.
Because the subwoofer is designed to pick up and amplify low frequency sounds, you won’t always hear it. To test if the subwoofer is working properly, we recommend you play a Blu-ray or UHD DVD movie with plenty of explosions, and place your hand on the subwoofer. You should feel vibrations as the unit receives and transmits the incoming audio from the content.
Another good test is to play music content with deep bass via Bluetooth connection, as it is not dependent on “effects” decoding.

Was just OK

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For a 10 inch sub i was expecting a little more, didnt have as much boom as i was hoping for so i returned it along with the soundbar and got a JBL with a 10 inch 300 watt sub and was much happier with the bass. And was a pain to get working needing the dongle attached.

Not as loud as I thought it would be.

Not impressed

I have done the reset, updated firmware and increased subwoofer volume. The sound from the sub is terrible. To be fair, I do have an expensive media room system and a higher end soundbar and the subwoofers sound way better than this Samsung, However, the Samsung is a fraction of the price. I currently use this in my bedroom and this is paired to the MS650 with surround, the soundbar is great, the surrounds are good and the subwoofer is terrible. For those folks out there that think this subwoofer is amazing, I truly would like to invite you to listen to my other subwoofers and you will quickly change your review.

I wasted my time trying to hook up with a Q series because people in the questions said it worked. It does not. A series only.

You are leaving a review for the SWA-W700 Subwoofer. It is the SWA-W500 model that is compatible with the S Series. Your model is only compatible with the Sound+ Soundbar models (HW-MS550, HW-MS650, HW-MS6500, HW-MS750, HW-NW700).
