Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Samsung 65in 4K HDR curved tv (7 series I believe) that I purchased last year. I am in the middle of upgrading my living room, so the next step was to get a sound bar with 4K pass through. I got the Samsung HW- MS6500 curved sound bar and love it, but even with the built in subwoofer, it was lacking that crystal clear bass when the sound bar is at lower volumes... Naturally I had to have the wireless rear speakers as well(SWA-9000S) to have the directional sound (for gaming and general fullness in the room) Everything sounds amazing (no distortion at all) but it was still lacking the booming bass. Enter the Samsung SWA-W700 subwoofer. Out of the box it immediately connected to the wireless router for the two rear speakers I already had. I cannot stress enough how big the smile on my face was when I first cranked it up... perfect balance and zero distortion at pretty high volumes. I couldn't be happier with this setup. Now I just need November to get here (preorder the project Scorpio edition Xbox one x) The bass on this subwoofer is soooo good. It's not just loud and booming, it is incredibly well balanced and it doesn't drowned out the highs if you crank up the bass. I love it. My wife was a little upset that I spent close to $1,000 for this set up, but the second I sat her in the middle of the room and started playing her favorite band... she immediately took back every negative word she said about the decision. It's like a smartphone... you didn't know how much you needed it until you actually had it. That's what this subwoofer is, for our audio setup, it completely fills the room with premium heart thumping bass, without any distortion. If you have a budget for around $1,000 for a completely beautiful setup. Look no further.

Thank you for purchasing the SWA-W700 subwoofer to go with your Samsung soundbar. I am sorry your are experiencing issues with the connection to the soundbar.
1. Check the standby status after plugging into an electrical outlet
2. Connect the main unit of the Soundbar to the Wireless Dongle
3. Turn off the Soundbar
4. Configure “ID SET” using the Soundbar’s remote control
5. Turn on the Soundbar
6. Check if the LINK LED is solid blue (connection complete)
7. If the SWA-W700 does not connect, take the necessary steps according to the LED Indicator’s status

Can't use without a dongle

It has not given any issues, if anything I wish Samsung would release something with EVEN MORE bass. Kid you not lol it's caused me issues with all.ky neighbors, it's that boomy. However, don't be alarmed, it has the capability to lower the levels low enough to basically have no bass, I personally like it at the max. Not just is it loud, but it is RICH and deep bass. It hits those wavelengths that regular subwoofers just can't. The price tag is absolutely worth it, don't think twice and no I'm not a paid review. lol Just felt compelled to share.

Awesome Sub

I bought it on sale for $300 but I would totally pay $500 for it. It's paired with my MS-650 sound bar and sounds amazing. I use it for music and movies regularly.

Unacceptable for the price!

The subwoofer is of heavy quality but it would not pair with the sound bar. I spent at least an hour or better on the phone with Samsung Tech support, they were friendly and tried to help but could not get the subwoofer to pair at all! They told me it was bad! I returned the item on the same day to Best Buy and received a full refund. When I returned to Best Buy the same subwoofer was being sold as an opend box because they did not have a replacement for it when it was returned! I ask the salesman about it and he said it worked fine and they still had no new ones in stock. Salesman said Geek Squad will not come to the house to work on problems with subwoofers and I would have to bring sound bar in with the subwoofer to fix it if I bought the woofer. Now i have only half a sound system and I am afraid to buy a new subwoofer to try and pair it up with this system again! Totally unacceptable!!!
