Customers are saying

Customers admire the StormWash dishwasher's quiet operation, excellent cleaning ability, and convenient third rack. Many appreciate its ease of use and stylish design, while some experienced issues with the unit's reliability and lengthy cycle times. A few users also noted concerns about the door and control panel. Overall, positive feedback on cleaning performance and quietness outweighs the reported issues.

    Very Happy with My Purchase

I received my dishwasher in late December 2020 with the Best Buy full package of Appliance Installation and Best Buy Geek Squad for 1 year. I am very happy with my dishwasher. Cleans well and is super quiet! Dishwasher cycles are Very long now (nearly 3 hours) but there is a setting for a 60 min Express cycle too. Since I do pre-rinse my dishes (so smells won't build up before I am ready to run a cycle) the Express cycle is fine.

I absolutely love this dishwasher! It cleans super and it’s so quiet you have too really listen to tell if it’s running. I love the third rack (on top) for large utensils that won’t fit in the silverware caddies. The top controls are great too, no more bending over to see them. Don’t hesitate if you’re looking for a fantastic new dishwasher!

So, far we are really enjoying the new dishwasher. Does a great job & easy to load. The top rack is great for travel mug lids ! Plus it is significantly, quieter than our old dishwasher.

This dishwasher does a great job at both cleaning the dishes and drying them. Even my plastic ware - like my Tupperware - dries nicely! Another improvement over my previous dishwasher is the 3rd rack for flatware. The slots are wide enough for my "fat" flatware to include the knives. Dishwasher is also very quiet, my husband and I can barely hear it when running.

Great Buy - this has a top rack for large flat utentils. I love the control panel that alerts you when cycle is complete. It holds a lot of dishware, pots and pans, and I Love the clean modern look that matches my refrigerator. All around Best Buy!

We've only had the dishwasher for a few weeks now, which is why I don't give it a 5-star rating yet. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the control panel on top of the door instead of in front. It took some doing to install it under our counter, but so far I can fit my fingers between the bottom of the counter and the top of the dishwasher. I know it improves the overall aesthetic but I think I would prefer the panel on the front. The other negative for me is how low the door opens to the floor. This is probably because this dishwasher has three tiers, which is nice, for extra loading, but I have a bad back and I don't like bending so much.

This Samsung dishwasher has fit the bill nicely for us in the time we've had it. We were happy to be able to have it delivered within days. (Many models at other stores took months to order, and weren't available in black.) And the price was definitely "right." The black stainless steel is beautiful and easy to care for. We have this located in an open area so operation volume was a concern for us. I'm happy to say it's so quiet, I sometimes forget it's on! All the wash cycles clean our dishes very well, even with our hard water. (I just keep it stocked with Lemi Shine.) It has "extras" which make dish washing better! I love the 3rd tray on top, which is perfect for flat, larger utensils and knives, and some lids. The "storm wash" gives pans an extra boost. The drying cycle pops the door open a few minutes before the end, to let the steam escape and help the dishes completely dry. These are all new features to me, and I feel spoiled! This is my first Samsung appliance, and I am very happy with it. Add the sale price, this is a gem!

Awkward bottom rack and cutlery bin design

Bought this about a month ago. Nice machine which does a good job cleaning the dishes. Racks are a bit flimsy, but do the job. I really like the third rack for flatter items or larger cutlery/tools. I also love that it pops open as part of the dryer cycle. What I don't like is the bottom rack. Because of the way the spokes are oriented, it is really hard to fit more than one cutting board or similar large item on the bottom rack. You can fit a single frying pan on the left, and a single cutting board by the door, but any more cutting boards are too long to go through both rows of spokes (the back row is excellent for larger plates, and the front row is mediocre for smaller plates). This is super awkward and like nothing I've seen in a dishwasher before. I actually hate it so much that I'd consider returning it, but that's too much of a hassle. Also, the cutlery bins suck. We removed the covers because the holes are too small and our silverware would get stuck in them, but that's not the worst part. There are two of them (which is good!), but the way they connect to the bottom rack is just by resting on some grooves on the right side. Each rectangular bin has two square bins with the handle between them. Because of the support, when you put some silverware in one of the two squares, it throws the balance off and it tilts, so you have to evenly distribute the cutlery. Another super weird design. It could probably be fixed by attaching the two rectangles together, but that kind of defeats the point of having two. Note that the silverware gets clean, so the unit does its job, it's just painfully awkward to load and avoid a topple over. Maybe if Samsung reads this someone can tell me the logic that went into these designs. If Samsung feels like updating and replacing the design, I'm all for it, but as it is, I can't recommend this dishwasher.

I looked at a lot of reviews before buying this dishwasher. I have been pleasantly surprised. I have had this for about a month and it runs once and often twice per day. I expected to use the third rack more but I have found that for me it was not as useful as I hoped it would be. I do use it, but just not enough to recommend it. Also, the third rack does not seem to rinse as well as I'd like. I really like the silverware baskets. There are two, half length baskets and if you have less silverware you can use just one and have more room for dishes PROS I use the 1 hour setting with the storm wash turned on and it does an exceptional job of cleaning the dishes. The other was settings also work well but I like the quicker cycle. VERY quiet nice touch controls hard food disposer CONS The racks are lower than I like, but I am tall and used to my old two rack dishwasher which make the racks higher since they didn't have to make room for the third rack. As noted by many reviewers, the door does not lay flat by itself. it is spring loaded and does lay flat once the lower rack has some dished to weigh it down. To make the dishwasher use less water it does not have a deep basin for water run off. be sure to mount the unit level. The track for the lower rack is a bit shallow and the rack rolls off the track easily. For me the cons are minor compared to the pros.

This replaces an almost ten year old Samsung dishwasher that died earlier this summer. We looked at lots of options, but went with what we’d had experience with. The new unit is a little quieter, but otherwise remarkably similar. It cleans well, and is easy to load. The top mount silverware tray is new to us and very useful. We’re hoping this one lasts as long as our previous one...

I love the new dishwasher. The top rack is great for utensils and other things you want to wash separate. It's also so quiet that you dont even realize it's running and the way it pops open when it's done, well we all are just so glad we picked this dishwasher. If cleans really well and leaves no spots or residue on the dishes and we have super hard water. I'm sold on this one.

Dishwasher has been excellent so far. Really quiet and love the fact the door pops open at the end of the cycle. For a family of 5 who eats at home a lot it’s got a ton of room and that 3rd rack comes is really handy. Samsung did great with this one.

We "upgraded" to this dishwasher from a 50 year old Whirlpool that still ran but looked terrible. The good: Nice finish, matches the refrigerator. Functions OK, lots of options that we have not tried, and haven't really tried it on dried on dirt or grease, but it cleans well enough. What I don't like: Hard to access the top controls, they are too close to the overhang of the counter top. It is hard to turn on and know that it is about to start to run. When you open the door to put dishes in, the door does not go all the way down, you have to push it more than once to get it to stay all the way down. After you put dishes in, the rollers on the lower tray almost always get stuck, you have to lift it and adjust it so it will roll back into the dishwasher. The layout is terrible. To place utensils, you have to open the door all the way and roll out the lower tray (which as noted above is not easy), then stick them in the holes on the utensil baskets (which are a little too small for many utensils). If the utensil baskets were in the front, you could just stick your utensils in without opening the whole lower tray up, so if you just want to stick a fork in the dishwasher, it is not quick and easy. The 50 year old dishwasher was way better laid out. And when the drying cycle starts, the door pops open (to "help the drying process") which is very weird, and if you close it, it stops drying, and there is water on the tops of mugs. Overall, I would not but this model again.

      Hi CDSurfs,

Thank you for your feedback. We are saddened that the dishwasher is not up to your standards. Please know that we value your feedback, and we will continue working on improving the quality of the products we offer.

AutoRelease is a feature on some newer models which automatically cracks the door open at the end of a cycle. For a couple of minutes, the rods it uses to do so will stay extended and prevent the door from closing again. If you try to close the door while the rods are still extended, you may damage your dishwasher.

Although this feature is turned on by default for the benefit of drying your dishes, the option to turn it off is available in the dishwasher's settings menu.

I have shared the user manual link below. Please access the link and turn to page 12.

Works as advertised. Very quiet and fits in great with my other kitchen appliances. I have only used the 60-minute cycle thus far, but the dishes come out clean and dry. Note that I never have heavy, baked-on food as I tend to rinse them after use, so I've not tried the heavy-duty cycles. I've only had this unit for a few weeks but so far am very pleased with it. I trust the Samsung brand with TVs (3 over the years) and phones (2). I'm confident they wouldn't put their name and reputation on the line for an inferior product. Only time will tell, however. I would recommend to friends at this point.

Our last dishwasher up and died on us. We had looked and this one previously and decided to go with it. So far it's not disappointed. It's so quite I have to ask if it was run sometimes. Dishes come out clean, even some of out worst pots and pans. 3rd rack is more handy that I expected for those odd ball articles that don't really sit properly in the racks.

My Samsung dishwasher is an excellent product. It is so quiet I would at times have a hard time hearing it run if it weren't for the operating lights. The dishes come out squeeky clean, and the third drawer is a keeper.
