Bith products have been what we expected. This ine does a good job of drying and the auto feature seems to actually work.

It replaced an older GE unit which had a seemingly never-ending series of User Interface Module failures. This machine has been well engineered and seems solidly built, We've used it about 30 times now and mostly only use the "Economy" setting, which gets everything clean and dried in an hour. It is very quiet when in use and we find the shelf arrangement (including the utensil shelf at the top) to be well designed to hold the kitchen ware we use the most. So far we've found that the "Fingerprint-resistant" stainless steel finish has lived up to the promise in its name and it has been easy to keep the dishwasher clean on the outside while it takes care of the inside. It was easy to install and the gentlemen that were contracted by BestBuy to do the work took care of everything efficiently and quickly. I can highly recommend this unit.

On this new Samsung, the dishes are not entirely dried when the cycle is finished. They are clean but I have to use a towel to dry them. And dishes are not hot to touch.

The storm wash option works great. The only thing is the quick wash is really only if you have completely rinsed all the dishes you put in there. If you are taking dishes that still have a little bit of stuff on them you will want to use the regular wash.

It plays music when it is finished running and the door opens automatically to help with drying. It’s just so fancy! Lol I love that the you can fold down the tines in the lower rack for big pots and pans. I really love the third rack for utensils. It cleans great!

Doesn’t not seem like it but is so much more space then our last one. Love Samsung products and this one does not disappoint. Gets dishes clean and love that it pops open when completed. Little difficult to clean the filter but overall very happy.

3rd rack not beneficial for this model

Lesson learned - 1st time owning dishwasher with 3rd rack. Unable to load certain size glasses and plates in dishwasher. With 3rd rack not being adjustable, makes dishwasher more compact. Getting use to loading but in future, would not purchase unless 3rd rack adjustable. There are benefits to having 3rd rack but not in this particular model. So far, cleans well. Would recommend this model dishwasher as long as person knowingly knew pro's and con's of 3rd shelf. Would recommend taking larger glasses and plates when purchasing to make sure the height of each rack meets your needs.
