Great dishwasher overall!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dishwasher does a great job cleaning the dishes. We like almost everything about it. Tableware doesn't always come out clean, especially knives but we've found this to be true of almost every dishwasher that we've owned. It's amazingly easy to unload and I like that I can adjust the tines so that I can wash large dishes and pots and pans. I also enjoy the tune that plays at the end to let us know that the dishes are washed and dry. I only wish I knew the name. The dishwasher does a great job of drying by the way. We seldom have to use a towel.

A strange but very nice dishwasher
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this dishwasher to replace a 10 year old KitchenAid. That KitchenAid circuitry was destroyed three times because water got into the circuitry. Wouldn’t you expect your dishwasher to be able to keep the electronics dry? So far this one is working well. It is quiet and so far very nice. It is very different than any dishwasher we have ever had. I was a bit reluctant because 1) it does not have a heating element in the dishwasher but instead hooks up to the hot water supply and 2) it automatically pops open at the end of the wash cycle. It pops open to assist with the drying of the dishes. But the dishes are getting clean and they are for the most part dry at the end of the cycle. I would give this five stars for it’s performance so far but I reserve one because the true test of quality of a product is how many times you need to pay to have it serviced through the years.

Samsung DishwasherDoesn't Disappoint.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent product. It's relatively quiet and worth the money. The dishes come out clean with no soap residue. The automatic open feature at the end of the cycle is a nice feature to have to help dry the dishes and let air circulate in. I was a little skeptical on the necessity of the 3rd rack but it's proven to be useful with small silverware. The height adjustment that can be made on the rack is noce as well. Raising the rack up so the bottom rach has space for salad bowls or larger bowls is a nice option.

Washes great, lacks just a little bit in drying..
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the finish, the ease of use, and cleaning power. Could use an extra dry function, sometimes doesn’t fully dry all dishes. Love the third rack and the ability to fold the tunes for larger items on bottom rack. One of the quieter models out there too. Overall would recommend this model.

Great features, couple of issues with mine
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: top rack tray is great additional space. I like how quiet it is and cleans well. Cons: we had a leak and had to have a warranty gasket replacement after 8 months. After the replacement it started to have additional issues I'm still working through. I had the same exact model before and also had some leakage issues I had to deal with. Overall: we really like it, but not happy with Issues.

Stormwash - Samsung Dishwasher - Good value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took awhile to find what we needed but this Dishwasher fit the bill. Dishes come out clean and it is so quiet. The third upper shelve really comes i handy for certain large pieces of silverware and/or plastic storage lids, etc. This unit does not have a heating element, and that is what we wanted, and it pops open after wash cycle is complete. Only drawback is the door will not stay completely down unless the bottom rack is pulled out.

An actual dishWASHer!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say about this dishwasher? I have had 3 different dishwashers in my adult years and this is by far the best. I really like to say that this is my first dishwasher and the others were just sanitizers. I would always have to clean off my plates with a sponge or paper towel before placing them in the dishwasher or else I’d have baked on food left on them. This dishwasher is different. I purposefully left food on dishes, bowls, etc. and this dishwasher did not disappoint. Let’s get started with some Pros. PROS: 1. My dishes are clean! This dishwasher does what it says it does. It actually washes my dishes and pans. I left food on them and this washer blasted it off and left my dishes clean. 2. Stormwash. We used the storm wash feature on a particularly dirty and oily 6 cup measuring cup and it worked perfectly. I can’t wait until chili season to see how it does with our crockpot and large pan! 3. Third cutlery rack. This rack is awesome. I don’t know why it isn’t a standard feature in all dishwashers. The amount of space is great and I have yet to have anything stuck between the prongs of a fork. 4. Quiet. This thing is quiet! I used to hear our previous dishwasher on other floors of the house! This one has a nice quiet, almost “white noise” style relaxing noise. 5. Dryer and automatic door release. This dryer does a much better job of drying my dishes and leaving them spotless. I absolutely love that the heating element is not exposed or visible. The automatic door release is a thing of beauty. This limits the scalding steam that used to release from one small vent with other dishwashers and allows for a more consistent drying experience. 6. Timer. What a great addition. I no longer have to wonder when my dishes will be done. The timer is accurate as well! 7. Rinse aid “window.” It’s great to know if I need to add more based on seeing the indicator window right there. 8. Fingerprint resistant. This is the only stainless steel appliance we own that does this right! Hardly a smudge on it! CONS: 1. Water hook up in rear of unit. I do not like not having the water hookup right at the front of the unit. I want to be able to tell quickly if any of my plumbing is leaking. Having the valve at the rear makes me worry that the leak will be quite large before I realize it is actually leaking. 2. Smell of the dishwasher after use. NOTE: my dishes don’t carry this smell, but the washer itself does. It smells kind of fishy. It really doesn’t make much sense to me, and may just be due to how new the unit is. It isn’t overly off-putting, just odd. Recommendation: I whole heartedly would recommend this dishwasher to my friends and families! It was the perfect addition to our home and it works as advertised. It was the final piece to the puzzle of the updated kitchen appliances and we are so excited to have it.

Washing options limited otherwise very good
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So to nitpick a little this one works well as far as cleaning and taking the top rack out makes it so the space is fine in the dishwasher. The problem with this thing is that it always heat dries so you cant really wash much for plastic bottles etc in here or they will be melted. If the options had a faster wash or something included it would be helpful as this is very very slow taking 3-4hrs to wash each time you start it. This is quite quiet which is nice though so it is not a bother while running.

I'm Loving It
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this dishwasher about 18 months. I don't use it everyday so it's taken a while to form an opinion. Overall I really like its performance in getting dishes clean and dry. I also love how quiet it is. The only not so good thing is how long it takes to complete a typical cycle. Otherwise it AOK.

Excellent upgrade
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A couple of years ago our dishwasher went out and I quickly replaced it with a Maytag. I didn't pay attention to anything other than the fact that it fit in our space, great reviews and the price was right. Probably not the best way to purchase an appliance. We originally thought that we would be out of our house in a year. We have now decided to stay longer and update to make it more desirable. We started with the kitchen. This dishwasher came first and was installed three days ago. I love the 3rd rack for our knives and spatulas and really any long flat shaped utensil I can fit in there. Also found that I can wash lids up there for coffee tumbers very well. I appreciate that the flatware buckets aren't on the door like our old one. Hate that I had to push the racks in to get to the flatware on our old one. We purposefully placed some of the nastiest forks/spoons in to test if this thing could get off dried on chinese. Each piece has it's own little cubby that separates the spoons and forks so we were pretty optimistic. There was not one spec of food left once the cycle was done. Super impressive. The one thing I would say is that the outer edges are odd with the rubber seal a tiny bit visible but not a deal breaker. We were just trying to really find anything wrong with it but that was the only slight thing. It also plays a wonderful little tune when the cycle is done which threw us the first time and we were looking around like "please tell me someone else hears that sound too?" It's so quiet you will think it's broken and second guess your choices :)

Hard to get a real feel until it up and running.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The design is nice and appealing. Although I prefer physical buttons for the controls, so far touch pad style buttons are responsive. For plates, the spacing of the separators is very good! Although, for bowls, it seems I have to leave extra space (or not use every slot), otherwise the bowls were not coming clean. I really like the very top rack where you can load longer serving type spoons/forks or larger knives. The first time I used the special high pressure option the dishwasher had an error and had to be restarted. The second time I used that function, I had no problems. Overall, I like dishwasher and after learning I needed to further space the bowls, it is doing an excellent job getting the dishes clean.

Impressive performance - Looks good, sounds good.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this dishwasher for about 6 weeks now. While at BB, I would have much rather have spent the money on a decent SubWoofer but the old Dishwasher went out and hand washing is timely and a pain. After the pride one has in a job well done (I installed the unit myself), I found myself loading and unloading dishes more often... The two features that stand out are -- the 3rd rack and the Stormwash. 3rd Rack: We use to just squeeze the knives, Tupperware tops/lids and kitchen utilizes (flat stuff) between the glasses on the top (2nd) rack. Not anymore - they have a rack for that. 2nd Rack is adjustable so you have lots of options on how to load the rice steamer & instapot bowls in either the bottom or second rack. Or lift up the 2nd rack to accomidate cookie sheets and cutting boards. StormWash: Awesome - I use that setting all the time! And its much quieter than my old GE dishwasher. Energy saving bonus: Pop-open door at the end of the cycle. Yes, it opens automatically at the end to air dry your dishes and plays a little charm to let you know its finished. The typical run time for me is about 3:15 with all the options I use engaged. Looks good, sounds good. I guess another subwoofer will not get my dishes clean... It really was a big pain to handwasher for the few days it took to replace and install my new dishwasher. I really do like the conveince this dishwasher provides over my old unit.

Cycle ends with dishes still wet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initially I really liked this dishwasher and I loved the third rack which is great for toddler bottle parts. It does get everything clean, but there is a big problem. This machine causes all of the nipple bottles and plastic ware we have to mold if left in the dishwasher for more than 24 hours. We are usually pretty good about immediately putting away the dishes and they usually required a little bit of towel drying. But lately been busy and for example before we left town we ran a load. We weren’t even gone for 36 hours and when we came back the bottle parts had begun to form mold as well as some of the plastic glasses. This isn’t the first time this has happened and we are frustrated. We were hoping the door popping open at the end of the cycle would alleviate the molding issue but we were wrong. Best Buy said we are out of our 30 day return window so we are extremely upset. We even asked to return it and purchase a different mold from a different brand but the answer we got was call Samsung. I don’t believe it’s a defective machine. I truly believe it’s the poor design. I would not recommend this product which is hard for me to say because we use a lot of Samsung products in our household.

Great dishwasher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's quiet, holds a ton, and does a really good job cleaning dishes. I mean, it's not going to scrub off week old gunk dried on your nasty sink dishes, but it will clean ketchup and sauce remnants left on plates after dinner. The 3rd rack is awesome for sippy cup lids and all those big serving utensils that don't fit right in the bottom rack utensil basket.

Nice design but lacking in performance
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have appliance experience as a Kitchen Designer for Viking Range. They had some very nice cooking appliances, so I was not too much of a dishwasher expert and was less than thrilled when I had to replace the dishwasher that came with the home I bought two years ago - but built in '07. It was a 2007 Kitchen Aid and the door spring broke and it had some basic wear on it but worked fairly well overall. I wish I had just fixed the door, but I thought maybe it's time to go new. I thought I would try the Samsung Storm Wash 24" Top Control Built-In Dishwasher with SS tub & 3rd rack. I really liked the idea of the third rack. But you do lose some height availability on the bottom rack because tall utensils (spatulas, turner) no longer fit in the silverware racks, you have to lay them across the top "tray" style rack - which is just something you get used to I suppose. One thing that I did not appreciate with my builder grade Kitchen Aid Dishwasher from 2007 was how HOT and clean the dishes were when the cycle was complete nor did I appreciate the speed of the cycle. The Samsung dishes never feel super hot or super dry - like that squeaky clean feeling the dish has. The cycle shows a time frame of 2 hours to 3 hours long depending on the type of wash. It ends when the door pops open which is a nice feature that I assume is to cool them down, but when I reach in to check on the cycle's performance, it's barely warm, so little warmth that the plastics lids or bottoms simply are dripping wet. I don't have a ton of plastics but this never happened before. I also noticed for using the word storm wash, you have to pre-wash some hard to get off food before loading. Not something I ever bothered to do with the Kitchen Aid. I thought I was upgrading and maybe I did with style and design with the 3rd rack, but this is an average dishwasher. It's a little disappointing and if it was an option and wasn't a hassle - I would return it.

Cleans dishes & plays music, what more is needed?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it, very sleek machine, holds a bunch more dirty dishes than our last one thanks to the 3rd rack. Runs pretty quiet, but has a charming little ditty it plays when it's finished running to let you know it's done. Also pops open to help dry items. Recommended!

Love this machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this dishwasher - I have an awkward measured out spot for the dishwasher in my kitchen so, I ended up going with this model since it was the shortest option. By far the best dishwasher I've had, this gets the dog bowls clean without rinsing first. The timed release for the door to vent at the end of the cycle allows for all of the dishes to be nearly dry (only a little water left on the plastic containers). The very top rack works wonderfully for the measuring cups and spoons and small pans. It has a delicate setting and I typically use the 1 hour wash cycle. This mighty machine is quiet - by far one of my favorite investments.

Broke after 2 runs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installed last Monday. Ran a rinse cycle while empty. Then during the 1st full wash the top, 3rd rack, water jet sprayer broke out of the housing bracket. All that holds it in place is 2 plastic nubs on the sides of the plastic head. We called Samsung customer service and had a tech come out to fix it. After they did a live video chat with Samsung customer service, their response was it appeared to be physical damage and so the repair/parts were NOT covered under warranty. The plastic nubs to hold the sprayer in place were so rounded out that the entire sprayer head hangs down onto the top rack and can not be pushed back into place. I can not pull the 3rd rack out without it catching on the sprayer. Luckily for us we were still within the 15 day return window so we disconnected and returned it. I am appalled with Samsung's customer service that they would not repair a brand new units damage. After trying 3 Samsung major appliances now and having issues with all 3...we are done with that brand. I'm sad because it was a beautiful dishwasher, but sadly the plastic components on these machines do not hold up. Samsung doesn't even stand by their product enough to repair it.
