Posted .Hello DeannaSmith, I understand how frustrating it can be when results and expectations do not meet. Our dishwashers use condensing dry technology. The auto release door feature assist with the drying performance but you do have the option to disable it. In the user manual on page 12 provides directions on turning the auto release feature on/off (https://bit.ly/3dirIDL).
