Doesn’t clean well

I know you shouldn't have to do this but I do it to keep the dishwasher from smelling like spoiled food. The dishes on the bottom rack get nice and clean but the cups on the top rack still have residue in them and the feel greasy on the inside. I have tried to place larger serving spoon on the top tray and the are not clean after running the dishwasher either. I use a national brand detergent that worked wonderfully with my old dishwasher. I’m looking into exchanging this machine.

We have followed all the steps and it doesn’t clean our dishes any better than our old much cheaper one. Even on storm wash it still leaves soap residue that had to be rises off afterwards. Not to mention a normal cycle takes about 3 hours. When I put the recommended amount of soap in how is there residue left after 3 hours??

This dishwasher is awful!! Dishes do not get clean, they are dirtier after going through a wash cycle than they were before washing. I don’t know how that’s even possible!! Half the time the detergent doesn’t even dissolve from the dispenser. A total waste of money! Worst dishwasher I’ve ever owned!
