    Whisper Quiet!

Just installed my new dishwasher. Decided to do a quick clean of the interior before the first use. I seriously thought I did something wrong, it was so quiet. Being in a small apartment it is nice having a quiet dishwasher so I can still watch TV in the adjacent room. It does play a tune at the end, it's quite long, but there is a way to turn that off if it annoys you. I'm sure I will be turning it off soon. I've done one load of dishes so far and they came out clean. I love the auto open door to help with releasing the steam and drying dishes even better. The lights are bright on the display, but some of them can be turned off by putting it into a maintenance mode as well. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. Crossing my fingers that it lasts longer than my last dishwasher (not a Samsung).

This dishwasher was one of many we had to choose from when picking out our Samsung kitchen appliance suite. It was so hard to distinguish between which dishwasher had which features for the different price points. Ultimately, we went this one and so glad we did. The performance this machine offers is truly top notch. Not to mention the sleek look blends in so nicely and even the interior has a gorgeous stainless design. The interior racks are fairly customizeable and can accommodate its share of dirty dishes, pots and pans, etc. I definitely recommend this dishwasher. Samsung nailed it with this one.

Just ok. Have to test settings to see which will get dishes cleanest, mind you this is after we rinse off heavy residue. Sometimes dishes still need to go through a second cycle. Racks are rusting in some spots already. And the dry cycle is terrible, often a lot of water still on the dishes when cycle is complete. Wish we went with a different dishwasher.

    Stinker...literally

We picked up the first unit last week and it leaked when hooked up. Samsung made arrangements to have a local warranty repair person to come out...faulty valve. It made more sense to return the unit to BestBuy and have a new one delivered time wise. Just had it delivered today. Terrible smell! Also, as others have mentioned, the racks are rather flimsy, the lower rack comes off the tracks. The dishes are wet after running because there is no heat dry option. The spray arm mounted under the top rack is soaking wet after the full cycle, so if you pull out the top rack first, the water drips down onto the lower rack. Dishes were clean and the dishwasher is very quiet. It looks great. I really wanted to like it after all the trouble we've been through. But, it's going back. Going to get a Kitchenaid that has heat dry and doesn't stink.

Excellent dish washer , bought it in 2018 , excellent quality but I had a bad luck using it abroad due to the change in power supply 220 because of the bad step up & step down converters

    Buy a Bosch

This is the worst dishwasher I've ever owned and I really don't understand all the good reviews. I purchased a Samsung stainless steel suite of appliances to replace perfectly functioning white appliances. The dishwasher we replaced was a Bosch. We've owned Bosch dishwashers in the past but didn't want to spend the extra money this time so went with the Samsung (and wanted to get the suite discount Samsung at the time was offering). I regret my purchase every time I use the Samsung (which is multiple times per week). 1. It's louder than the Bosch, even though they are supposed to be the same dBAs. 2. I'm actually surprised if all the dishes come out clean. Just about every single load I pull out at least one dish that's still dirty and has to be washed again. 3. It has a really ugly black flap at the bottom that makes no sense to us. It's ugly (looks almost commercial) and doesn't really seem to be useful. 4. I have a hard time fitting my dishes inside. The top rows don't seem big enough for most of our cups/glasses and the bottom seems like everything is angled the wrong way (the back row is fine, but the other rows don't allow you to put plates in the same direction). So if you have more than one row of plates/bowls, you have to just put them in however they'll fit because they won't fit in a nice row like the back does. 5. I run every load on Heavy + Storm Wash. Most of the loads are normal loads that shouldn't require anything special but because the dishwasher is junk that's what I have to do...and still don't come out with a fully-washed load...and no, I don't overfill it. I also use Finish Powerball detergent which I've never had an issue with before. 6. I like the idea of the auto open feature that helps dry the dishes, but because it has that feature, you can't just rest the door on the latch if you don't want to close it all the way. You have to close it every single time or it stays open. In summary, I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher and regret my purchase. In seeing all these reviews (which I did read before making the purchase) most of you are enjoying the dishwasher which is great. But it frustrates me so much that I wanted to make sure that others understand its limitations because if you're on the fence, I highly recommend you get a Bosch.

I replaced a fantastic 15+ yo KitchenAid with this dishwasher because I was ready to jump on the stainless steel bandwagon & didn't want to drop $800 on a dishwasher. I really REALLY hated it the first several times I used it. My glasses and clear glass dishes were actually DIRTIER, even after a 2.5+ hour (!!!) wash cycle. The helpful Best Buy tech gave me some tips, including that I HAVE to use the sanitize cycle (3+ hour wash cycle!!!) and I HAVE to use a rinse-aid - which is also mentioned several times in the manual. More cleaning products/chemicals, just what I want, sigh :-( Well, thankfully, both tips did the trick. I use a "natural" detergent and a rinse aid by LemiClean & run it on the sanitize cycle, and the dishes now come out clean and clear and dry. PS It's not annoyingly loud, but it's not quiet. This doesn't bug me too much tho. PSS I do like that the Samsung logo is not on it.

    Machine isn't that quiet

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Beware of decibel ratings. The difference between 44 decibels and 54 decibels is TEN fold. A 46db machine would be twice as loud as a 44db machine. We bought this machine to replace a Bosch machine, now we are sending it back to replace it with another Bosch. I read all the great reviews and thought I would save a few bucks and get the Samsung. Everyone said how quiet the machine was, obliviously they never owned a Bosch or Kitchen aid. Yes this is quieter than your typical $350 machine, but its NOT quiet. I opened my Bosch machine several times over the years to find it was running full steam ahead. Bosch installed a light to illuminate the floor to tell you its on, that's quiet. I own a lot of Samsung products that I do like, but its either people really do not know what quiet is or they had really, really loud dishwashers before. Either way this is an average machine. You want real quiet look elsewhere. Three stars is pushing it.

The Dishwasher to End All Hand Washing

I've had the pleasure of testing and reviewing this dishwasher as part of The Insiders campaign program. Although I did not install it myself, watching and assisting the install team I can confidentially say that it was relatively simple. It blends well with the countertop and looks sharp in the black stainless steel. The color is actually a lot more grey than anticipated, but still something different than the usual black, white, or stainless steel options. The top rack feels a little wobbly. I can visibly see the inside side walls move when the rack is wiggled side to side. But fully loaded, there are no issues with the function of the rack. Only 2 loads in and I'm already pretty impressed with this machine. Dishes are coming out spotless and very clean. I've even been testing with a little less pre-rinsing as well and dishes are still looking great. We have discovered that having to hand wash pots and pans is no longer required. The Stormwash area makes quick work of them which makes our life easier. All the racking options really let you customize the loading to your unique situation. Only a couple of minor annoyances to mention. First, only the dishwasher pods are recommended for use. No more loose powder like our previous dishwasher. While it's not a huge deal, it will be slightly more expensive to wash in the long run. Second, the door pops open at the end of the wash to aid in drying. This works great however, the door pops open much wider than anticipated which could cause a trip hazard to someone not paying attention. Maybe even a safety issues for a family with small children. See 3rd picture for reference. I definitely recommend this product for anyone on the hunt for a new dishwasher. Great balance of cleaning power and style.

We had been looking to upgrade our dishwasher and read reviews and had dialed in a whirlpool brand to match with our other appliances. We came to the store to look at it and as we started talking to the sales person. He had expert knowledge to all of our questions, the brands, and all the features. I am glad we went with the Samsung over the whirlpool, the extra features are nice, the dishwasher is efficient and quiet. We love it and are really glad we bought this dishwasher.

    Never Buy Samsung Kitchen Appliances

Worst dishwasher we've ever owned. Didn't work from day 1. It took two "certified" technicians rebuilding the entire thing on no less than six visits before Best But finally agreed to replace it. Replacement DW has never worked well either at effectively cleaning dishes. Will never buy another Samsung appliance. Had issues with matching stove as well and technician even told us we would be needing him back out to work on refrigerator soon!

This dishwasher is good looking stainless inside and out. control panel is barely visible once door is shut and cycle begins. It seems to take a long time to wash on automatic. The drying feature pops open the door at the end but really doesn't dry as well as my old one. Lower rack likes to roll out of track. They just don't build them as well as they used to

I just moved into a new home. My previous house had a super fancy Bosh dishwasher and I see no difference in the two. In fact for me the Samsung is quiter and cleans better. My dishes actually come out dry! My Bosh did have the third rack on top and I do miss that. Overall I'm very happy with this dishwasher and highly recommend it. I also had Best Buy deliver and install it without issue!

    Broke in 3 Weeks

I bought this dishwasher a month ago. It was broken within THREE weeks. Also, Samsung is horrible when it comes to customer service. I scheduled them to come fix it, took the day off work and then called them to see where they were... they said they never had anything booked for that day. I can't believe how unprofessional they were and how much of a pain this whole situation has been. On the other hand, Best Buy has been awesome about the whole thing. Definitely not their fault. Don't buy this product... you will regret it.
