My brother had recently bought a very quiet Maytag dishwasher for the house I was renting from him. We moved into our own house and I looked for a dishwasher that was as quiet as his. Although the dishwasher said it was the same decibels as the Maytag, I find this Samsung to be a bit noisier. The most annoying thing about this dishwasher is, when it is done, it opens automatically and then plays an annoying little song. I don't like that it opens automatically because my toddler loves to go grab the knives out of the dishwasher. Not a good feature. And that song is just annoying. Other than that, it works fine. It does a great job of cleaning and I've had no other problems with it so far. (Used it now for 2 months)

The first time I ran this to test, I thought it was broken because it was so so quiet compared to my previous dishwasher! Love the interior and flexibility of the design. It has been about 4 months since the install and I can't find one complaint as of yet.

I purchased what I believed were high quality Samsung appliances - 4 of them - and I am very disappointed. I paid to have three appliances installed including this dishwasher. Two days later the dishwasher smelled like a sewer. I called and had to wait a week for service. While waiting, the bottom rubber flap fell down which is supposed to help quiet the noise. Tech came and had to re-work the hoses going from dishwasher to the drain/garbage disposal because the installer did it wrong. Fixed flap. Looked at double oven radiant range while there. Showed him pictures. A week later the flap fell down and the dishwasher still smells. Never had this before .. living here 16 years. With flap hanging, dishwasher is LOUD. Tech coming again Friday. Service tech on phone told my husband to “cut the flap off.” Poorly designed but it is sleek looking. Rather have a quality product the seller backs. I will keep calling if the flap falls down. Very disappointed with product and Best Buy salesman whi never responded to my emails or calls.

On my second unit. The first one was installed incorrectly and leaked water underneath. Second unit installed correctly. This model has a rubber strip that's supposed to tuck underneath the door but on both units it absolutely does not stay in and hangs down under the door. When the installer tells you it's a problem, you know it's a design flaw. Have to figure out exactly what it's designed for and if I can remove it because there's no way it's going to stay where it's supposed to.

Easily the worst appliance I have ever owned. The Samsung website indicates the issues we've experienced aren't unique - I wish the Best Buy website had the same detail, and we never would have bought. From instillation, the unit smelled like a compost bin, and often the dishes don't come out clean. Numerous Samsung service people came out and confirmed the terrible smell and the smudges on the dishes, yet continued to claim the unit was "working properly." Then just this week (the unit isn't even a year old) the hinges started to creak, and now the rotating blade under the top rack fell off. Samsung has been no help at all, and by their "policies" the unit is still working correctly and they will not replace it - again, this is after service staff have confirmed the issues noted above. We'd dearly like to get out from under this dishwasher but it seems it's money down the drain. Save your time and more importantly your money. This product is a joke.

Great machine. Clean and efficient. help with water and electricity bill

I had my kitchen remodeled three years ago and bought all Samsung appliances. Of the four items purchased, microwave, range, dishwasher and refrigerator, all but the dishwasher have needed repair. I love the layout of the refrigerator, but the ice maker should not stop working after only three years of light use. The microwave stopped working almost immediately after being installed and needed multiple parts replaced. The range heating element in the oven and the convection fan stopped working after about two and a half years. Thank goodness I have a home warranty as none of these repairs were covered by Samsung. As I can afford I will start replacing the appliances with a different, more reliable brand.

I was really excited to purchase this dishwasher as my other one no longer worked and it’s just okay, it gets all the food off of the dishes but since it doesn’t have heat drying all my dishes stay soaked, and when they do dry they have spots all over them making them look unwashed

I can't believe how quiet this dishwasher is. I can stand right in front of it and have a conversation on the phone!

Bought this dishwasher putting together a matched set of Samsung kitchen appliances. This dishwasher has few pros and many cons. Returned it on 27th day. Pros Quiet, eye pleasing, plays a nice tune when finished. Easy install. Cons Doesn't clean dishes. ( Watch videos and read manual on loading) did not clean dishes. Door pops open to dry dishes at end of cycle. No heating element for drying. Causing a lot of steam directly on counter top edge. Company provides "reflective" tape to install under counter top to protect it from steam. Racks rolled uneven and cheaply made. Required pre rinsing all dishes. Still didn't get dishes clean. Samsung does some appliances great. A Dishwasher is not one of them. The Samsung Storm Wash dishwasher is not worth your time or your money. Exchanged it for a KitchenAid.

We're not big dishwasher users. There are only two of us, so it takes us a long time to fill up the dishwasher. This dishwasher looks really nice in our kitchen and compliments the other appliances.

Bought this dishwasher in February 2019, so I've had it a good 7 months now, and this is the absolute worst purchase. Please stay away, and look for another dishwasher. Constantly leaves food residue and gunk on our dishes....especially on the glasses on the top rack. I've had Best Buy out 4 times to fix this dishwasher, and still have issues. In fact, the Geek Squad rep essentially told me that the entire unit has been rebuilt now after the last service visit. Family of 5, so we use this dishwasher everyday....but end up washing everything by hand. It is whisper quiet as advertised, but I'd rather have clean dishes instead.

Bought this dishwasher because of the quietness. Well it's very quiet as it breaks down every 3-4 months. Lucky we purchased A3 year warranty . Buy a fridgeadair since my last one was still going after 12 years and only replaced because rodents ate the plastic liner.

Love this thing best I’ve ever owned, I’ve loaded this thing overloaded it and it’s still got the dishes clean

I have owned this unit for a couple years now. Everyday, I regret having wasted my money, which is why I am still compelled to write this review after so long. I do not know where to start with my description. What I can say is that, other than malfunction problems, I can relate to every negative comment I've seen in all forums. Please believe that your dishes will come out dirtier than when they went in, unless you wash your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Food from one dish will be spread to every other dish in the unit. I purchased Samsung because I had previously heard good things about their products. Now, after researching a bit, I've found the real reviews on multiple websites, buried under the solicited reviews. It is simply a terribly designed unit. I will never buy Samsung again. I now pay my daughter to wash dishes, while this piece of garbage sits and looks pretty, serving absolutely no purpose, until I feel like investing in a real dishwasher. I should have kept my old unit...

I purchased an entire Samsung set dish washer, stove, and refrigerator. 2 of the 3 are not great products. This dishwasher is terrible at cleaning and will leave debris every cycle.

I love this dishwasher. So many features and I over love the color

I Wanted to love this dishwasher good reviews, quiet, and auto-door release for drying. I have other Samsung products and they have been great. However, after installing the dishwasher I got one cleaning cycle before the dishwasher started beeping and turning off minutes into a cycle. Tried to power cycle and nothing. I have tried dealing with Customer Support to get it fixed with no success. So, it appears I bought a very expensive drying rack. I would recommend the extended warranty if you are going to buy this dishwasher.

Overall, my wife and I enjoy this dishwasher, however, the reason for the low rating is due to the fact the motor died on us within the first year and a half of having the dishwasher. Which will now cost approximately $550 to fix. I would recommend this dishwasher to anybody for its functionality, but only if they purchase the 5 year protection plan. I would assume the protection plan would cover the motor dying therefore you definitely need to get that plan if you purchase this dishwasher.

My Samsung dishwasher is a little over one year old. I can't afford service calls, so I repair whatever I can. At the moment the dishwasher is completely dead. I went through all the troubleshooting steps and I reached out to Samsung for help. Samsung said I should have a technician come out. The tech charges $175 just to show up, and that doesn't include the cost of the repair. I went on Samsung's community page and discovered over 250 other owners of this model who have the identical problem. Most of the posters ended up buying a new dishwasher from different manufacturers.
