    The picture quality is fantastic when it stays on. The blue ray will play for no longer than 10 minutes and then shuts itself off. I don’t know why this happens. The player has a defect. It is expensive and a disappointmentment.

    For some reason on certain DVDs the audio is low. I turn up the Samsung TV and soundbar all the way up to 100 and it's really not that loud. I still have my old DVD player hooked up underneath this one to use when this happens. Old one plays them just fine. I checked all audio settings I could find and am using a high quality HDMI cable. Found out this problem right after the wonderful 15 day return policy of course.

    I have recently purchased this 4 k player in October 2019 and now it doesn't work. The remote is low quality and it only worked twice ! I have never had a problem with Samsung until now,I wasted my money .

    Samsung is reducing the quality and usability of its remotes. My older Blu-ray players had remotes large enough to offer large numeric and function buttons while this one has an almost-smooth surface that you must memorize to use in the dark. If you can, use the remote in a well-lit room.

    Meh! Samsungs last Blu-ray player?

    Bought as an open box item. While watching movies the screen would black out every so often. Then the movie would continue where it left of, even with new $40 cables. Returned. Think ill just stick with xbox one x for Blu-rays.

    An Excellent 4K Blu-ray Device

    Instead of becoming wordy and losing your interest, I am going to place emphasis on the pros and the cons of this particular unit. PROS: Interface: Identical to Samsung's TV line, and very User Friendly. Play-ability: The model plays all my CD's, DVDs, Blu Rays, and naturally 4K Blu Ray discs. It even plays media burned onto CD, DVD, & Blu ray disc via a computer. That was a plus for me. I have not experience any issues with playing files off of a thumb drive and or a external hard drive. I was impressed with all the file extensions this player recognizes. Internet Connectivity: Basically, I use a wired connection for all my streaming devices. However, I needed to order a Ethernet cable. So until it arrives, I had to use wireless. To my surprise, this unit recognizes 5GHz, as well as the traditional 2GHz networks. My only question is, why doesn't Samsung provide this feature in their 8000 TV line? Streaming: No issues here. I have 100Mbps for my internet speed. Picture Quality: Excellent! Colors are vibrant. and images are clear. On rare occasions, I may experience a slight judder, but that could be do to a fluctuation in internet speed, the difference in refresh rate between TV and Blu Ray player. CONS: My only concern, and I do mean only, I hear a hum coming from the unit when there is no disc in the tray. This may be normal, but I thought I'd throw it out there for Samsung's input (hint, hint). {: -) Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase. And yes, I would suggest this player to my friends.
