The detail on high-grade content is hard to criticize and it does a good job with older content recorded using equipment that was not as good as it these days. The only thing that cold be improved is a larger power-on indicating light and a display on the front of the elapsed time of the content being played to make it unnecessary to note the elapsed time on the screen if interrupted part way through.

Excellent Quality/Easy to Install

It was actually a blessing in disguise. I looked at blueray players in Consumer Reports and this one had a good rating at a price I liked. The install was quick and easy--I simply unplugged the cables from my old one and then plugged them into the new one. The onscreen instructions were easy to follow. There is one thing I will mention--it is true from the other reviews that the highlight is not bright when making your selection. Other than that, I love this product. I was surprised and pleased by the difference in visual quality/resolution. It was almost like I had a new TV.

Mediocre and not Future-Proof

My PS4 Pro does an outstanding job upscaling to 4K. • No Dolby Vision. If I would’ve known that Samsung didn’t future proof this player I would’ve never bought it. My suggestion is to just wait for an affordable 4K Blu-Ray player that has outstanding upscaling and that offers both HDR standards. HDR10 and the absolute best Dolby Vision.

Very affordable, have seen no issues with playback and pairs wonderfully with my Samsung KS8000 TV for easy use. The upscaling and SDR to HDR conversion for older movies and files is nice as well.

I expected 4K movies to look great, but ALL my movies look ah-mazing! The upscaling makes all my movies look better than I've ever seen them. Even my DVD's look better. I really feel this is a great Blue-ray player for the price!
