Picture quality is fantastic. It really does bring up the quality of all DVDs. I have some regular, old DVDs and this machine brings them up to a much higher quality of picture & the 4K DVDs are great.

I bought this blu ray player by Samsung so that my grandchildren could see their movies at my house when they were visiting. First one to use it was our 4 year old. We watched the movie twice!!! The second one to be here is my 8 year old granddaughter and she loved it!

4k with HDR definitely makes a difference and it is very noticeable as well all the movies I have are 4k with HDR and it so much better than HD (1080 P) by far. I'm so happy I made this purchase with the tv and sound system I bought at the same time.

I bought this 4k blu ray player to complement my home theater system. It was great quality, sound. Fit my needs perfectly. Samsung makes quality blu ray players. It does make some sound when it initially starts up the blu ray disks. But it's not a big issue.

It gave the expectations from the reviews and specs of the product and I'm very satisfied.

When my wife and I purchased our new Samsung UHD TV from Best Buy we also decided that we would need a UHD Blu-ray player to complete the UHD experience. The sales staff at Best Buy assured us that this particular player would be perfect and they were absolutely right. The picture quality is outstanding, the ease of operation is second to none and the price was right. We have this player programmed into our Harmony remote so whenever we use it it’s as simple as pressing one button installing a disc and watching a video. The only thing that we use the provided remote for is changing settings on the player. We are very pleased with the quality of the player and the clarity of the picture it provides.

I think this is a great gift. It has all the features and is current with available technology. Hope the ones getting it enjoy it as much as I think they will.

Any DVD I play in this product has the best picture I have ever seen. The regular DVD's are greatly improved. The Blue Ray DVD's are nearly 4K and the 4K DVD's are almost 3D . I recommend this product to all that demand the very best will most definitely enjoy this product.

Replaced my nearly 10 yr old standard blu-ray player, and I must say the speed at which movies load is very notable. Within a few seconds the movie loads and provides superb image quality. Netflix and Prime included make it easy to toggle between apps. Lovin it!

Samsungs new 4K Ultra HD player has all the bells & whistles if you set it up properly. If you have a sound bar that has Dolby Atmos and own 4K UHD movies then you will be blown alway by the picture quality and movie theater surround sound!

The 2017 model lacks 3D playback and an extra HDMI plug for surround sound. But for normal sound and viewing it's a good player. Not OPPO quality but it's good

I use Consumer Reports as a starting point, not as gospel. Still, all the points CR made in recommending this Blu-ray player were spot-on. I bought it on sale, online, and that went great. I can't find anything to complain about.

Makes a little noise when playing 4K vids. Great WiFi for Netflix and Amazon.

Had a 4k samsung tv and several 4k discs so although the price hasn't dropped dramatically yet I went ahead and spent the money on this. It definitely produces a better picture than my blu-ray player was and hopefully as we get more true 4k movies that'll only get better

Works very well and connects easily to Samsung TV. Automatically turns on TV when CD inserted. Sometimes this is a pain though if you just want to remove the CD. I love the fact that you can also play BluRay on this as well as regular CDs. The black color can be a bit hard to see in a dim room.

The picture quality was very good, very bright clear picture. Unfortunately, I played 2 different 4k movies and the player froze throughout both movies. I had to keep turning the player off to unfreeze. I recently returned for the Sony x800 which didn't seem as bright of picture but first test didn't freeze.

There have been newer models delivered by Samsung, but this 4K player is also backwards compatible with all other formats that have come before i.e. plays 4K UHD disks, 3D Bluray, Bluray, DVD, CD. The newer models will NOT play 3D bluray and I have an extensive collection. All other 4K UHD bluray players on the market are backwards compatible with all other previous formats EXCEPT for Samsung. I just purchased this player (after returning the "Newer Updated" model) and couldn't be more happy. Does everything you need it to do, has a multitude of on-board apps, plays 4K UHD Bluray disk AND plays 3D bluray disks as well. Could not recommend this 4K Bluray player more. In addition, this model has not come down at Best Buy too much. probably because it has the 3D capability and the Newer models do NOT.
