Did experience one issue where the video was scrambled when I turned it on, restarted the player and it was fine after that.

A Needed Upgrade From The K8500

The unit would lock up and require a physical power cycle more than necessary. Thankfully, Samsung paid attention to these complaints and they seem to have gotten things taken care of with this updated unit.

Night and day clarity

Has apps and menus like my Samsung TV. The 4k and HDR is amazing. Very detailed. This player upscaled non 4k blu ray movies and they pop too. It is slow to power up, but worth the wait...really it is not that long. Black finish goes well with other components. Well done Samsung

The best 4k blu-ray player I've ever used

I have to say that the performance is amazing and extremely clear. This player also streams video through several and will upgrade to 4k. I also have a Samsung smart TV (series 7) and the two work together quite well. The remote control is considerable more user friendly than the earlier model.

Until i adjusted the sharpness almost all the way up, and tweaked the color etc. After that UHD movies looked live..Like i was watching a play. has simple controls.. that said consider a universal remote So you won't have 3+ remotes to deal with. with the android Samsung smart-things app, you can switch Back n forth from phone to tv\DVD that said i have sling TV as well sling has a DVD movie Icon if the UHD DVD is on click it click resume or start movie and yer in.

Easy to set-up player

It was the same brand that we previously had, so knew more or less how to set up. However, the Samsung remote has only a few buttons, so that took a little to get used to.
