I bought this player to replace and old DVD/VHS player that was dying. Most of my movies are DVD's, this plays both Blue Ray and DVD. I have not used all the functions on it yet but so far I am very pleased with it. Besides movies I can play my music CD's in it. It also is a smart player that I can connect to my internet and view You Tube and other formats with. I look forward to leaning all that it can do.

Good price for Samsung. I do wish there was a power indicator light though.

I needed to buy a DVD player, simply because my DVD / VHS recorder player finally just quit playing DVD without constantly freezing. I am a Samsung fan, so choosing this small one was an easy decision, and I've not been disappointed with any movie played. The clarity is good, and not one freeze, even when I tested it with the same movies that would freeze on my old system.

One cord, not 3 or 4, easy to operate, great picture, responds to remote easily

Easy setup (my wife did it without asking me for help). The menus are easy to follow and the picture quality is great.

Great Blu-ray player for the price. Works as expected. Has some good streaming features but just be aware there is NO wifi on this model. I didn't realize that when I purchased this but it's not an issue for me since I was not interested in using those features anyway.

This Blu-Ray player simply works. It plays blu-ray, DVD, and CD disks without any issues. The smart features take a little getting used to, but work well. My only complaint is the USB port on the front. IT can be hard to locate the first time. The cover is the same color and texture as the rest of the front panel, and there is no logo or indicator that the port is there. Also, keep in mind this unit does not have wifi built in, but it does have an ethernet port on the back.

This Samsung blu-ray player works great. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because when you push the power button on the box to turn it on, there is no light on the box that indicates that it is actually on. So, at times, we have tried to open it to put in the DVD and it won't open, so we assume it isn't on, so we push the power button again, and then the eject button to open it and nothing happens...we repeat this until we don't know if it should be in the on or off mode...all of that is a little frustrating. So we have to switch the tv over to the applicable HDMI before we can see on the tv screen if it is actually on. It was an adjustment we had to make in how we operate this blu-ray from the last one we had. Other than that, it works great.

Great player. I was able to use it on an older tv to get the smart tv functions. Apps and streaming worked fine.
