Excellent replacement. I'm not tech savvy and had NO problem connecting to amp and TV. Always a great confidence booster when I can complete these tasks and they work.

No WIFI

I dont mind that it needs an Ethernet cable for the apps bc i have a smart tv so i dont use this this function. But rhe picture is beautiful and clear. And no lag anf easy to use.

There was about 3 or 4 of these guys sitting in the open box section of our local store probably for that reason! We bought it for our daughters room so we did not care about the online features. HOWEVER... there is not PLAY or ENTER button on the unit itself! So if you loose the remote or if the remote UNPAIRS from your player as ours did, you have problems! the remote does auto pair if your TV is a samsung as well, just be careful that it does not unfair with the player!

Excellent entry level DVD player.

At 60 years old, this was a more daunting task than it should have been. The basic Samsung player recommended by Best Buy does everything I need it to do and installation was remarkably easy. I'm glad I asked for your recommendation instead of going on-line and trying to make an informed decision myself.
