Great player...very easy to use!

So you can still watch the DVDs that you have and new ones that you buy for blue ray. Great product!

In 2015, I purchased a new television and thought my older dvd player would work just fine with it- but not. I would definitely purchase another one.

Affordable and works great

I did not want to upgrade but the sales rep advised me that I could also play my older (non-blu-ray) DVDs and so I bought it at an affordable price and it's working great

Not so smart blu Ray

For someone who loves CD's still

He loves it, his older player finally gave up and this stepped in and is still spinning his CD's. Easy setup and use!

Great Blue-ray Player for DVD's/Blue-ray Movies

Was definitely a good choice and recommended by the salesman as one of their best sellers. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to purchase a blue-ray player. It also plays music CD's.

Works as expected

This unit replaced a BD-J5700 which is the same device but has WI-FI access in addition to LAN where this one (J5100) is only wired LAN access. The wired J5100 actually works better than the 5G WI-FI J5700 (when using WIFI - router only 15 ft away - you can use LAN also) as far as internet access (Chatt is called Gig-City for EPB 1 GB internet - blazing fast speeds here). The J5700 failed and good news the warranty turnaround was about a week. Why not 5 stars? These things (5700 or the 5100) do not have a power LED on the front so you cannot tell if it is ON or not and it takes a few to boot up. Irritating.
