All you need for blu-ray

Good looking DVD player.

Therefore, if one is unsure of whether or not the player is on, it's hard to tell. Also, because the buttons (door open, power) are black on a black background, one just doesn't know what's going on. Once the movie (or whatever) is on, performance is good.
