Our 8 yr. old Samsung BluRay wasn't working. So off we ran to get the cheapest BluRay player we could. It was a Samsung, too! It is virtually featureless. Has no display or LED indicators at all, but... IT WORKS! Sometimes that's all you need. We'll be able to assess it better when we actually use it to watch some BluRay and DVD movies. But for $70, it did what we needed right then, which was play a DVD disc we needed.

We definitely can appreciate that different customers have different needs. All of our Blu-Ray offerings this year (and in 2016) will have Wi-Fi except for the entry level model. We offer that model as a low-cost option for people who have their network set up by the TV or have a smart-house with Ethernet already networked and don't need Wi-Fi.
The BD-J5700, BD-J5900 and BD-J7500 all have Wi-Fi. We're sorry this wasn't made more clear, but we hope you'll give one of those other models a chance. We think you'll like what we offer.

It didn't come with an HDMI cable so I had to buy one of those too. The money I saved by buying the unit on sale paid for the cable. And you also need an ethernet cable if you want internet access. I would not recommend this to a friend at the regular price.
