Compact & Simple
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to replace an earlier, much larger, much pricier, and much more complicated wi-fi-connected blu-ray that gave out unexpectedly. Not wanting to invest too much in a replacement, I was happy to find this Samsung at about $50. Do not have it connected to wi-fi, just using it as a basic blu-ray player and that was incredibly easy to set up with my own HDMI cable (not provided).

very quiet

Excessively engineered

Thank goodness for the users instructions (which must be downloaded) It's ok for everything in the world to have an internet jack. But I cannot find a way to disable this. The result is a tv screen that is incredibly cluttered with unusable internet options and trash that hide the usable info from my tv. And the unit desperately needs a status light to show when it is "on".

Simple blu ray
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When we got a smart TV we had so many ways to stream digital content but no way to play the physical blu-ray and dvd discs I had collected over the years so I wanted the most basic of player. Luckily I was able to find this on an open box discount and it has worked out great. As I understand this player is not wifi enabled so if you do want to stream you will need to connect with a cable.
