Have bought Samsung in the past so went with a great price on the Samsung BD-J5700/ZA. Besides playing DVD's and Blu-rays, you can also stream Netflix, Amazon prime and a couple more. Bottom line it works well!

Great basic player

I needed something that I could stream apps (Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, etc) that was low cost. This player also allows for viewing photos and videos. Overall, great basic player that is a great price.

Good for a not-smart TV

Plays blurays but smart features lacking.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought two of these Blu-ray players and the first thing that drove me nuts was the fact that it would not work with my logitech K400 wireless keyboard. My smart TV works just fine with it. Typing in information for Netflix and the wireless network is very tedious using the Blu-rays remote.

But the only issue was there is no display on the front panel as we expect in any DVD player. Also no light even for power on button. Otherwise the player is excellent value for money.
