Does what it's supposed to do. No issues and my son loves to use the apps.

Unless my machine is defective I can't find a power light. I have to open the tray to determine if the power is on.

This player has done everything that we have asked of it. It loads disks quickly, offers all the online options and the controller is well designed. We do wish it had a light on the front to show if the machine if off or on. We like to turn our electronics off and we have to check the tv inputs to determine if our player is turned off.

Bought for kids room, works great for watching blu Rays as well as streaming

The Samsung BD-J5700 setup was super simple and does a great job with all functions. Picture is fantastic and a nice mix of included apps

This player is simple to set up and very easy to use. Highly recommended if you want a good quality machine at a very reasonable price.

This is a basic blu-ray player with remote. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has no indicator lamp to show whether it's powered on or not.

Good product. Works well. Only issue I have is there is no light to show that device is powered on but for the price it can't be beat.

Use this device for the children's room. Very cheap plus streaming capabilities (WiFi). Easy setup. Definitely would purchase another.

This isn't the best dvd player for you if you are an audiophile or want the best resolution possible but it is a great player for the money. Samsung could make it quicker to start and easier to navigate, especially when using old tech dvds and audio cds. But for just a little more than a cheap off brand unit this is a nice one to have.

Pic quality better that other blu ray players. Easier to use

I figured that Samsung was a good quality brand as they always have been in the past. Something went terribly wrong with this blu-ray. At first it didn't even want to start up. I thought I had a dead unit and was about to disconnect it to exchange it when it finally came on. That should have been my first clue but I decided to give it a chance. At first it connected to my wifi just fine and then it did the firmware update. After the update it would not stay connected to the wifi even though it showed full signal strength. I know it wasn't an issue with my router because every other device worked perfectly when testing them in the same room. Checking online, to see if there were any known issues, returned several results dating back to the first of 2015 stating that Samsung told them that it was an issue with the firmware. I bought this device in December so you're telling me in 9+ months they couldn't resolve the issue with the firmware? When I returned it to the store the woman at the return counter told me that everyone has been bringing those back. Samsung is usually a brand that I trust but in this situation they dropped the ball. I ended up spending a bit more money on a Sony blu-ray and it has worked perfectly. Stay away from this player unless Samsung can get the issues worked out. By then I'm sure the next version of blu-ray will be available.
