    I purchased this item because of the apps included on it. I have a smart TV with apps on it but when we installed our sound system, Netflix and various other apps wouldn't go through our speakers on our sound system, only through our TV speakers. Or sound guy recommended getting a DVD player with the apps and accessing them through it for our surround sound. It works great :)

    I have to say it's been 2 yrs since I first brought this blue ray. Still works as if I just purchase it a few months ago still have the same control and keeping the blue ray up to date is easy as when I connected to my wifi is let's me know if there a upgrade needed. So if this one ever does break I will get the same brand.

    Bought as a Xmas gift to my wife. She was tired of using the PS3 as a Blu-ray player, complaining it was cumbersome. I'm sure this will make her life easier.
