Now, to be fair, I haven't utilized the wireless portions of this device yet, so can't review on that; though I did purchase this particular model for those features. My one disappointment is that there is not a set of play, stop, and pause on the device itself. The only buttons are eject and power; everything else is on the remote.

used as secondary player for trailer Plays easy and fast. WiFi helps updating firm ware when available. Reason I bought was i have 2 Samsung players at home.

Needed a new Blue Ray for the Master Bedroom. Just wanted something cost effective and this fit the bill. Easily linked our Amazon Prime and started enjoying in minutes. Staff was helpful and reminded me I needed a USB cable which saved me a trip back.

We bought this to take on a trip for email and some web browsing. I didn't want to worry about my MacBook getting stolen, especially with all my private files on it. So far, it's been exactly what we wanted. The pros... Hardware seems durable and good quality, especially at this price. Fast start up. Great battery life. Full size keyboard. They cons... This is my first experience with the Chrome OS and I didn't know what to expect. Chrome isn't hard to learn, but there is a learning curve. If you like Google apps and email you may like the Chrome OS. But this isn't a full-laptop. You can't install most applications (like Firefox), and some (like Facebook) have to be installed as extensions to the Chrome browser. So know what you're getting before you buy! That said, if you mostly do email and web browsing and you already have a "real" computer, it's a solid choice.

For months since I purchased it last year, it worked like a charm. My wife and I watch primary Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix. The smart apps never presented any issues till about 6 months ago. Netflix requires some type of firmware update that Samsung has yet to address. The device will freeze while watching any show on the Netflix app, requiring me to unplug the player in order to reset it. So far no updates have addressed the issue nor does it seem Samsung will ever address it. I have been a long time Samsung fan, our tv is one. One sour experience won't keep me from purchasing from Samsung in the future, however, I am very disappointed at the lack of system support. It almost seems they have abandoned the device, as if knowing everyone going towards smart tvs. I would recommend getting a different player, even if its a different brand, to ensure the issue isn't brand wide.

With built-in Wi-Fi, this Samsung BD-J5700/ZA Blu-ray player allows you to enjoy streaming media from your favorite content providers, including Netflix. Very easy set up. One drawback no on/off light on the front of the unit to let you when its know its on.
