It occasionally tries to take-over my Samsung smart T.V. but if you turn it off it's not a problem. Amazing how compact and light stuff is now. Don't expect a heavy, metal device, this is all plastic.

You have to be sure to change the source before trying to watch TV or the TV is messed up. Because it is a little fussy about this I gave it 4 stars.

Nothing fancy, just does the job

We didn't need it to have a lot of bells and whistles, and the ones it does have (apps like Netflix) we will use with other devices. It plays our discs just fine, and at $50 we were happy.
