I purchased this samsung dvd/blu ray player to match up with my samsung TV. Also wanted to be able to stream movies from netflix, hulu and Youtube. I like the idea that i can use a thumb drive with this Player.

I am extremely pleased with my Samsung blu-ray player. This Samsung replaces an LG blu-ray player which kept losing my Netflix profiles. Additionally, the Samsung seems to respond quicker than my LG. My Samsung player transfers from one App to another with little to no hesitation. I didn’t give 5 stars because the Samsung player has lost Wi-Fi connection twice within the past 30 days. I still highly recommend the Samsung BD-J5700 Blu-Ray player over its LG competitor.

This is perfect for when you just want to curl up in your room and watch movies. Doesnt take up much space on the night stand.

We bought this blue ray player to go with our new 65 inch TV. I believe in the Samsung products and usually search out this brand. The blue ray player has not disappointed us. It is a great quality player.

First issue is there is not a power-on light, you don't know if the unit is on unless the TV is on and the source is selected to the blu-ray player. Second issue is twice now nothing works until you physically unplug it, wait a while and plug it back in, then you hear the motor spin up and it functions for another few weeks. Initially it was very noisy, but after 20 minutes into the movie the motor noise died down.

Had difficulty when first used. Disc got stuck and would not eject. Unplugged machine from outlet and plug back in so it would reset and disc finally ejected. Had to do a system update before machine worked properly. Also there is no *power on* light which makes it difficult to know when the machine is on and when it is off. Finally, the remote does not allow u to sync to your TV unless your TV is a Samsung.

During a time that was so hard to find a Blue Ray player, Best Buy not only had them but they were priced great.

I bought the DVD player so I can watch Amazon Prime and Netflix and Hulu and YouTube. There's no problem with any of those and I've had no problems with the DVD player easy to work and sit up

I love the brand and feel confident in how well it works

The only complaint I have is the power button doesn't light up so I can't tell if on or not. I also had some wi-fi connectivity issues but I think it is the house not the player.

Plays Dvd's and Blue Ray and has been easy for me to set up and I have never done that before so that was a big plus for me. It is also a Smart Dvd Player and hooks up to Wifi and has Apps that are easy to use.

Nice player..would be greater if it had a display of light in the front to show it had been powered on by remote.

If you love watching movies this is the product for you! So glad my parents said "yes" and purchased this for my dorm room ( thanks mom & dad). I love the quality of the picture on the tv from this product.

this item amazed me at how easy it was to connect and setup. It communicated well with the TV and sound bar from Samsung as well.

This Blue-Ray player has meet our expectations and more.

Samsung always makes quality products. Had a bunch of old DVDs/ BluRays that the kids wanted to watch and needed a new bluray player as we had been without one for about 5 years.

I've purchased this player for each one of my rooms that have tv's. I purchased the first one 5 yrs ago, and it still works great !!! Love that the wifi is built in so I have no probably a streaming thru it.
