my older blue ray player is better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.purchased for a room i don't have cable in. my older samsung player allows me to download apps like HBO and Starz. this player gives no option to download any current tv channel apps and only has obscure apps. it also does not have a light indicator or display to even confirm the player is on

Weak WiFi reception

The unit could see my network, but would not connect. Kept giving false reasons for non-connection problem. Tried WPS, passphrase and even manual IP settings... nothing worked. Returned for a better model.

A light weight

I now keep a small flashlight there because finding the open/eject button in dim light is just about impossible. But it did plug in and "just work". Blu-Ray and streaming quality is excellent and some Velcro is solving the sliding problem.

Better than Sony
